Tech India

Software Engineer

Hello there, I observed one thing. Non Hindi speaking people find it very hard to work in Indian IT. There is this inherent culture to speak in Hindi all the time as many North Indians are in IT today. I work in a product based company in Bangalore and these folks often talk in Hindi in official meetings despite saying. Feels disrespectful. This is happening in Bangalore. Official mode of communication should be English but they are discriminatory.. Has anyone else been facing this?

I applied online. I interviewed at Xeno (Mumbai) in Jun 2023

I recently had an interview experience that I found quite unprofessional. The interviewer was extremely delayed, arriving 50 minutes late. Once the interview finally began, he asked only one question - "tell me about yourself" - and then promptly rejected me, stating that I wasn't a good fit for the role. This was surprising and disheartening, considering my qualifications and skills exceeded the requirements stated in the job description. Additionally, the HR had previously assured me that I was a perfect fit for the position. The major issue I encountered during the interview was that the interviewer seemed inadequately qualified to assess candidates for this role. The position specifically called for someone with a technical background, whereas the interviewer lacked that, without any relevant technical experience. Overall, this interview experience was disappointing and left me feeling frustrated. I believe it is crucial for interviewers to possess the necessary qualifications and expertise to evaluate candidates for a specific role. I hope that sharing this feedback will contribute to improving the interview process and ensuring a more professional and fair experience for future candidates.
