I worked at Yankee Candle part-time

    Pros

I loved working alongside my co-workers and helping the guests find what product they needed. My manager was super sweet, and she really took the time to train us seasonals well. The environment was a lot of fun and just filled with the holiday spirit. I really enjoyed making and exceeding my daily sales goals.

    Cons

Too little hours for what it's worth. I had to get a second job in order to make ends meet. She hired way too many seasonals and lots of us only worked maybe 1 to 2 days a week, if that. The pay is minimum wage ($10.50/hr).

    Advice to Management

Schedule us for more hours and more days, please. Also, communicate more effectively with staff so they are on the same page. Other than that, all's well.

I applied online. I interviewed at Yankee Candle.

    Interview

The interview went very organic. It took place at a cafe and therefore had quite a casual feel to it. The questions were mainly focused on my interests and why I thought I could be of value to the company.
