I have been working at 1&1 IONOS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits. Most of management is good, with a few exceptions. They give lots of vacation and sick time. Only work 37 1/2 hours per week. People are friendly. Softball team is a blast.

    Cons

Sometimes a little clicky. Some of the people who been here longer think they better.

    Advice to Management

Why is the company so big in Europe but no one know it here?

    I worked at 1&1 IONOS full-time

    Pros

Free drinks and occasionally free food that will rot your insides.

    Cons

    Where to start?
    1) Was with them for 8 years. Began as a 2nd level agent and demoted to a first level agent due to departmental changes.

    2) Started off relaxed and not a bad place to work but decayed after a change in management.

    3) Promotions were rarely available but when they arrived, they were given to the less qualified individuals and to people who became friends with management. Basically do the job that is not in your job description and suck up to your boss and in 3-4 years you might get promoted. Awesome concept.

4)Customers called regularly asking for administrative support roughly 90 percent of the time and the other 10 percent were actual problems that were supposed to be troubleshooted. Supervisor's required agents perform one time courtesies for customers during those times when they called for those unsupported problems. Those "one time courtesies" , however, became a courtesy every-time they call. If you do not do it you looked down upon, yelled at, cursed at, among other things by customers. Supervisor's will also look down on you.

    5) Another issue: call volume became so high that you were required to be on the phones for sometimes an hour or more straight. If you took a quick breather or got a drink when someone else was gone from their desk or when the call volume was above 2 people waiting, you were considered not a "team player." That will definitely give you a negative on your performance review that following month.

6)I offered many ways of change but those ideas were taken with a grain of salt and never implemented.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. We have good insight on things that can change since we communicate with customers on your behalf.
