I have built many great relationships during my tenure with ACCO Brands.

Cons

New leadership is toxic. ACCO is going through a transition and they have brought in former leaders from the food industry. In a very short time, they have destroyed the culture. They recently laid off many employees without consulting managers, and most managers did not know if they were losing employees until after the employee was let go. The new CMO is toxic, extremely hierarchical, and micromanages her staff. There is no real innovation pipeline, little brand recognition, and the only growth is by passing on price to customers.

I have met many fantastic colleagues during my tenure at ACCO Brands.

Cons

Every 6-8 months there is a massive reorg/structure change that results in lay-offs and those lay-offs are handled extremely poorly. This is indicative of leadership that just can't figure it out in my opinion. It's a very risky place to work. Pressure to work on weekends and check email during earned vacation time. Recent changes in leadership have resulted in horrible office culture.

Pros

Benefits are pretty good. The design department had a great culture unlike the rest of the company.

Extremely low pay. New CMO has turned ACCO into a terrible place to work. Conducting layoffs without any manager input at a time when morale was already extremely low. These “leaders” lack any sort of personal skills and have also reflected their lack of support of LGBTQ+ youth and mental health for their brands.

there are no good reasons to work here other than gaining minimum factory experience to find somewhere better.

fast food workers make more. they work you non stop 10 hrs a day for most of the year. they take most of the holidays away from you unless you use your vacation days. you have no time for yourself or family. you will be trampled on by every head person of the company. you hardly ever do the job you were actually hired for and don't expect any days off unless you use your vacation days. DOOO NOOOTTT RECOMMEND wORKING HERE!!!! horrible bosses and management and don't expect them to care about you or your life.
