Great benefits Work life balance Provide opportunities for volunteering Office setup is great Product categories to work with can be fun Can work remotely if needed (after covid) They have a great internship program
Cons
Lack of upward mobility due to the seniority of upper management (unless they leave the company) They can be stingy with wages and what job they hire may determine your pay level and you are stuck there Product/Brands are struggling to keep market share with retailers

The overall atmosphere is stressful and there is little opportunity for personal or professional growth.

Compensation both for salary and benefits is adequate and a year end bonus is a nice treat when it happens. Safety is a big concern and is pushed quit strongly, however, I believe it's more WSIB rates and corporate image than caring for employees. You can get time off if needed. They also participate in extra activities for the employees which is enjoyable, however, these nice to haves cannot replace the basic need for advancement and job fulfilment.
Cons
The requirements on the individual can be quite demanding, though often there seems to be little recognition for extra effort and a job well done. Upper management seems to be distant from the everyday worker. Personal and professional growth do not exist. Reviews are often performed late and though some good ideas on growth may be indicated, there is little opportunity or cult to pursue these avenues. Politics is very rampant, which is not suprising for a large organization, however, its difficult when others who spend more time in there bosses office than doing there job get praise and advancement.

ACCO Brands is a nice place to work, but has been going down hill in the past year.

Good pay, and benefits, flexible work hours, work from home options, commission incentives. I don’t have much more to say on that.
Cons
High turn over rate. Upper management seems like they don’t even try to keep sales reps engaged and motivated anymore. They started capping comissions. The company goes through phases where they take on new hires and try hard to keep work fun by hosting competitive sales competitions and then stop trying months later.

6 Oct 2015 - Manager in Kettering, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Casual dress Monthly company meetings to keep informed Active in "giving back" to community and charitable agencies Supportive intern program Like to promote from within
Cons
Little concern for work to life balance Concentration given to one line of business by all members of management Severe micro-management Rash decision making from upper management without regard/dialogue with those employees responsible for day to day operations Ohio location is incredibly homogenized and therefore closed off to outside experience

Pros
Great salary, benefits package, autonomy, wonderful people up to middle management level.
Cons
Unclear commission plan, upper management is absolutely out of touch with the end user. All focus is on the large office dealers and shareholders.

Great coworkers, benefits and work life balance. Pay is good with yearly raises and a bonus program. There are opportunities to advance and can be promoted.
Cons
Too many layoffs at least one every year the past four years. Then the average employees are let go instead of upper management.
