I worked at ARIA Resort & Casino part-time for more than a year

    Pros

its a high end strip casino, when you can get a scheduled shift (after begging bribing or giving sexual favors) the tokes are pretty big

    Cons

highly corrupt environment . merit is never rewarded. part timers / extra board are forced into begging for hours. management trades preferential treatment for sex. if you are Chinese and know the right person you can pay $ 10,000 for a full time shift. If you are Black (not Ethiopian for some reason) you will never be assigned a high limit game, nor dealing big Bacc. extremely frustrating scenario of those having much much less qualifications being placed ahead of those with talent. i really really hated working there. despite the big toke days.

I have been working at ARIA Resort & Casino full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Meeting new people from all over the world, great coworkers, paid lunch break, and free meal every shift

    Cons

Managment, always working full time hours but still "part-time position" with no benefits, short staffed, inconsistency, lazy coworkers usually sleeping but people who actually do their job get unnoticed. High school dramas, no one sees. No Time Off even when requested, always slow system. Management trying to outsmart Forbes, but still can't get 5 stars, Favoritism, Understaffed, Trust No One

I have been working at ARIA Resort & Casino part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Many of the coworkers are great people. Cheerfull, welcoming coworkers. Many also have vast years of experience and are quite familiar with proper procedure in gaming. Fantastic facility, very green.

    Cons

So many gaming managers with no experience or little experience. Between low level suits to dept heads that haven't a clue of how to run the industry it's surprising this place can turn a profit. This company does not make use of the experience in the industry the staff has. 3 yrs ago the employee dining room had the best food in the business. Now with "profit growth plan" in effect, it has the absolute worst employee food I've ever seen. But hey, you can actually pay $2.50 for the same croissant they used to give you for free! Company is on a major push to rid full time employee numbers. Preferring part time and keeping hours below threshold for benefits. Adding parking fees has driven off some regulars, semi regs that are offended by the very idea. High quality employees are quitting for lack of benefits, leaving lessor experienced, lessor skilled, to do the job and alienating good customers on a daily basis. The company is doing zero FOR the employees.

I have been working at ARIA Resort & Casino for more than 3 years

    Pros

It was great for a while but now there's new management and policies. It's still one of the busier poker rooms.

    Cons

The ridiculous policy of not allowing full time people to early out until part time people are forced out is hurting everyone. Part time people are left with 2 hour shifts and full time people lose their flexibility. Pay is average since it stays steady throughout the year but there's a lot of people who don't tip. Also very demanding clientele.

I have been working at ARIA Resort & Casino full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Higher pay than most retail stores in regular malls. Free meals, uniforms are provided and they even launder them for you. Full time benefits are only $16 a check. You can move to another hotel/position after 6 months in current position.

    Cons

not much promise of moving up the ladder to management even once you are in.
