Day 6 in hospital I am working in Bangalore. recently I fell sick and got hospitalised, i have friends here but you know you need somebody to stay beside you 24/7 during these times. I have been feeling very lonely and empty in the hospital despite of having all the facilities. Sometimes we don’t realise what we are trading off against building a career. I wish I could be closer to my family

      Pros

      - Supportive coworkers - Large clients

      Cons

      - Poor to no leadership - Illegally not paying staff - Poor training opportunities - No employee benefits to sing home about - More common for consultants to find their own engagements - Account Directors infrequently communicate back to consultants - Nonexistent pipeline

      Pros

Exposure to clients. Some good colleagues.

      Cons

Colleagues stood down and forgotten, More concerned about meeting targets rather than getting employees back to their feet. Poor leadership at regional level. Numbers seem to matter more than the people. There are well paid account directors however the onus appears to be on the consultants to find engagements

Illegal exploitation of employees and taking undue advantage of COVID19 pandemic

      Pros

Some good colleagues and office space

      Cons

During the COVID pandemic, the employees were illegally stood down and forgotten. First they hire consultants showing that they have huge pipeline (which is non existent) and on the pretext of giving them a billable project at a client side. The onus of placing the consultants is the duty/responsibility of the ADs/AMs but because of their inefficiency and poor communication with the clients, they are unsuccessful in placing consultants. They make the consultants suffer because of their actions. There are well paid account directors however the onus appears to be on the consultants to find their own engagements through their own contacts. Many of the ADs are not skilled enough to persuade the client's to take consultants from ASG. The SLT (Execs and ADs) is pathetic and it might be the case that they are still getting paid even during the COVID pandemic and the unbillable consultants are forced to bear the brunt and made to stand down without any pay and no end in sight. They have still made profits and blocked job keeper payments for their employees. Poor leadership at regional level. Numbers seem to matter more than the people. ASG does not have the right to do such things and should be taken to court.

      Don't bother !

      Pros

There are some good consultants with great skills and experience

      Cons

The top-Down mentality within the leadership team, no say for the consultants. Top Management is purely sales focus and they do not have leadership skills or consulting background. Account Directors are so egoistic and ignoring consultants most of the times unless they need to get something done. Practice Managers do not have any people leadership skills and acting fake in most situations.

      Good people, horrible management/company

      Pros

Some really great people are employed here Lots of social events to attend

      Cons

Feedback from client engagements is not shared in sufficient time to act on While on the bench treated as though it was a call centre with every person start/finish time logged Company will overhire with the intention to fire at the end of probation if contracts aren't won Account directors dodge meetings and are not approachable Culture was great at SMS but ASG's takeover has killed it and its now an awful place to work Company brags that they do not pay well Social events are mandatory and attendance forms part of performance review with one manager saying that family is no excuse for not attending

      Pros

      - Technical teams are good if you can get them dedicated.

      Cons

      - Highly political - Useless account directors who complain about their teams to the clients - no bench for technical staff, leading to staff to work long hours, over multiple engagements. - run by accountants who don't understand technology
