All the negative reviews are true. You wouldn't believe it until you see it. Ignore the noise.

      11 Feb 2021 - Consultant

      Pros

      - Consultants who work there are talented, friendly and hard-working. - Work life balance surprisingly isn't terrible.

      Cons

Not exhaustive: - Illegally standing down consultants during COVID, willing to hire and fire. Most of the people who are talented have either left or been made redundant. Even the most talented individual will be let go because he/she 'wasn't utilised for over a month'. Short-term profits > everything. - The micromanaging is ridiculous, management approach people as if they are incompetent and disobedient, extremely low level of trust. - Due to such low levels of trust from above, WFH was impossible. Even during COVID-19, extremely regular attendances labelled as 'MANDATORY ATTENDANCE' is required, with 'roll-calling' of all consultants in the beginning of each call. - Empty promises of training up consultants, but it's always brushed aside as: 'we're looking into it'. - Due to zero training, there is zero career progression. - Zero levels of pay rise after initial negotiation.

Ok for a short stint and you can negotiate a good starting salary

      Pros

Ok pay if you negotiate it at the start, some good people (although a lot have left)

      Cons

Minimal career progression, hard to get a pay rise after your first negotiation/starting, pure body shop approach to managing staff

      More broken promises

      Pros

The direct team are supportive, we are all in the same boat

      Cons

The company claims they are changing and caring about employees but it is all garbage lies. No real prospects to grow, no career path, performance management aiming to find faults in people not to help get better performance or develop people. I bet there will be next to no pay rises this year either just like last, there will be some excuse about being a difficult market. People can just be replaced with the next fool who needs a temporary job while they find something better

      Pros

Flexible working conditions, under the right manager.

      Cons

All about profit. They don’t care about their Employees or clients. There are no career development processes. Pay rises don’t happen. Next to no staff benefits. The culture is toxic, mainly as everyone wants to leave.

      Pros

Some great colleagues and reaosnable local management

      Cons

All focus on profit and no care about service quality at the upper management level. While not actively difficult , management were content for people to be left without pay rises or training or any sort of support and wait until employees are completely disengaged before letting them walk. KNowingly under delivered on contracts , happy to take risk for increasing profits.

      Pros

Fruits, expresso coffee, monthly branch meetings

      Cons

Don't expect pay rise. Management can downgrade your performance review even though you receive glowing Client feedback

      No leadership

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Pay goes in on time I'm leaving in a few weeks Capability leadership/team leads/senior consultants are intelligent and try to mask the senior management issues- though maybe that is a bad approach

      Cons

Barely veiled racist and sexist attitudes are wide spread No visionary leadership 100% focus on margins, utilisation Pay rise didn't even meet inflation Toxic and negative environment is obvious to customer who will eventually move to a more forward thinking alternative Most of the employees hate being there mostly disengaged (90+% actively disengaged from a survey result which management dismissed with some excuses)

      Losing it's way fast.

30 Apr 2018 - Principal Consultant in Brisbane

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Former SMS consultants genuinely upheld and lived the company values. Collegiate collaboration was exceptional, although less encouraged now. Free fruit and coffee if you are in HQ.

      Cons

Management value profit over delivery quality. Consultants often out of their depth, delivering poor quality outcomes without QA or assistance. Profit margins are valued over resourcing with experienced consultants. Management do not honour KPI incentive promises or support professional development. Pay rises are not given, even to high achievers. Utilisation lulls are treated as a performance management problem - no job security.

      Pros

Federal space, Easy Way into some good departments Makes Dimension Data look good.

      Cons

Makes dimension data look good Flounders in most specialty IT Spaces. Promoted Mediocrity over Meritocracy. Has a CFO that promotes "if i dont get a pay rise, no one does". Salary increase by lottery and not based on skill.
