Pros
Good culture, a lot of new things to learn especially on AWS if you are new. Diverse crowd Free drinks A lot of parties Free German and English classes On-call opportunities Salary between 22 -25th of every month Opportunities to move between teams
Cons
Restrictive while adopting new technologies and tools Startup but with no flat hierarchy - you report to the manager, manager reports to the founder and back. Lack of appreciation, therefore, you will feel that the company doesn't value you. You will work more than 40 hrs most of the time without any compensation Pay is minimum

Appreciate employees and their work.

Pros
- open and honest communication, lots of transparency regarding almost all (reasonable) matters - company contiunouisly tries to improve and optimize their work; always new challenges and projects to work on - anyone (regardless of hierarchy level) can take on responsibility fast - great team spirit
Cons
- communication between teams could be improved - a lot of the times important information is out there, it just is not communicated to all parties involved - not enough conference rooms and quiet places to work - employees can take on leadership roles rather fast without any input on how to manage and motivate a team - may sometimes result in uncomfortable atmosphere within the teams (can in most cases be... quickly resolved though, due to open communication)

- Invest in larger office space and offer more quiet areas where people can go to concentrate on extraordinarily complicated tasks - make sure leadership positions are filled with people who fit the company culture and can manage their team according to what AY stands for Keep up the good work and continue putting emphasis on transparency and open communication throughout the company.

- high pace working environment with big growth potential - a lot of topics that can be dealt with so it never gets boring - not so many planning meetings, but rather hands-on work - Fashion, TECH and Media Solutions as core business pillars - great product for the "Discover fashion" market - build the whole system from scratch - hence a complex system with individual challenges - in between a startup and a... corporate company - international, young environment - great parties and many interesting people to meet

- a company with a lot of change and new requirements - don't come here if you are looking for a slow corporate structure - grew a lot over the past 5 years - the company still has to mature in some of its areas (Leadership, Corporate Identity, structures, benefits) - it's easier to start on a lower level, grow and then make a career - the threshold for Senior/Leading roles is quite high - working hours are based... on trust (tends to get more, when there is a lot to do)

ABOUT YOU has made a tremendous journey over the past years and it is not the same company as it was 5 years ago (even 1 year ago). Some of the concepts like how leadership is exerted, how corporate identity is lived and some of the structures need to mature with the company growth.

- Nice working environment - Many nice people - Challenging tasks - Exposure to a lot of tools and technologies
Cons
- Some higher position leaders/directors are not experienced enough - No acknowledgment or appreciation for your hard work - Chaotic and unorganized - Low salaries - Low quality code due to deliver fast, no need to write tests mentality
Advice to Management
- Put more experienced people who have really good team management skills in director positions. Otherwise, many potential talents will leave the company.

Pros
- fast changing and developing environment but this can be for some people stressful. I like that the weeks are flying by and a lot of stuff getting done - cool people and fast, open communication but you need to be solution orientated - big pro "no all talk and no action atmosphere"
Cons
- can be sometimes stressful - a lot of stuff is changing and completing constantly sometime this results in lack of communication - already 350 people working there

- keep the current approach from the last month and to be more open and involving more people
