      Pros

      I am speaking for the Absolutdata Labs Team. 1. Good visibility for different technologies and project dynamics. 2. Opportunities being given to work with the client despite your position. Only talent matters. 3. You will not just be restricted to your own project but will get to know about what's happening in the team 4. You might find some of your best friends in the team. People were down to earth 5. Appraisals would be higher than the market standard

      There are no Pros. Reader please keep in mind the HR's try to add fake reviews every now and then. This indeed is the worst company ever, specially the labs team.

      Cons

      Worked in the Labs Team. Managers treat the subordinates like slaves. No respect for individuals, Managers leave no chance to demean people. AI is a hoax, they boast about AI in the market but the truth is you will end up working on excel sheets for the rest of the career. Technology wise there is no learning at all, Managers have no or 0 coding knowledge and would insist you on learning excel sheet and dictionaries. I have seem Project Managers pushing the blame on the subordinates. No learning , just mental torture, that's what this company has given to everyone. Basically they are running a Ponzi scheme. Its a - 100 company.

      Pros

      The only thing that can be called a Pro is office location in Cyber City. That too becomes irrelevant during Covid and might move post the acquisition by Infogain.

      Cons

      Absolutdata is like a crashed ship barely afloat. Revenue has become less than half in last year. Few plum accounts of contracted/ loaned out employees keep things together, otherwise there are no other projects/ clients worth a mention. Attrition rate is crossing 80% yearly. Hardly 10% candidates join after taking offers, mostly those looking for a break into Analytics or just unlucky with job search. Managers are totally trapped in meeting super high expectations with such a shallow talent pool. Senior leadership is technically incompetent and focused on personal agendas. They have no roadmap for the company and struggle to understand/ evaluate even basic technical stuff. So they continue to hire more people just like themselves who can’t take any sensible decisions or provide any direction to the team. Everyone is just busy saving their jobs with dirty politics and finding scapegoats for the disasters they create. Harassing and cheating employees in probation confirmation, notice period payout, bonus, appraisals, exit formalities etc. is business as usual for the management. Some senior leaders feel really proud of their position and power while taking these low-bred actions against employees they dislike. Only those managers can thrive who act as informants against others and carry out shady orders of the upper management without questioning. With the entire world ravaged by Covid, there is zero support from these people. They keep pressurizing employees to work long hours and come to office. There is no monetary support or even extra leaves for people requiring Covid treatment (unless you go "critical"). Their real face becomes crystal clear in the lay-offs they did last year. In May 2020, they laid off almost 40% employees who were “average performers”. They hired a “specialist” for this and then laid her off also after the exercise! Perfect example of their myopic “use and throw" mindset towards employees. They cited Covid induced financial crunch as the reason for lay-offs but actually they just wanted to show better profits for selling the company. They deliberately delayed probation confirmations so as to fire people with only 1 month notice. Some people had completed more than 1 year while the probation period is only 6 months. They also cheated people out of tenure based bonuses in addition to notice payouts. Then they gave 20% salary cuts to remaining employees for 1 quarter. Everyone had to slog 10-12 hours a day as headcount was suddenly so down. The company got acquired in Dec 2020 but the employees were never given back the salary cuts or any incentives for standing firmly by the company during tough times. The "senior leaders" pocketed all the money. They further cheated employees by giving a flat "average" rating to almost 90% employees with pittances for bonuses and increments. The standard response was “You did well but not well enough. We expected much more” i.e. you should have done 3 person’s job on 1 person’s salary and time. Next, they probably plan to start charging employees for the wonderful opportunity to work under their exceptional leadership :) Most sensible managers and long timers quit in 2020-21 as they know that the "senior leaders" are only interested in somehow justifying the cooked up numbers they showed during acquisition discussions. By next year, they will just cash their cheques and leave behind a massive stinking mess for others to manage!

      Well known name in the market as been active for more than 20 years. NOTHING ELSE is a Pro here

      Too many legacy problems that no one wants to accept or solve. Founders just want quick money and pulling each down using their pet employees. Lying and faking things is the company culture. If you remove the fake reviews from Glassdoor (hint - copy pasted and poorly written) the real rating would be 1 point something (well deserved) Treat employees badly. Very long working hours but all incentives & money are only for founders. Just want to sell contracted employees in market to make easy money. You will prosper only if you ass-kiss the founders all the time.

      NO AI ! All excel sheets

      I worked for the Labs Data Science team for more than a year. Below are my experiences: - > NO AI all excel sheets -> Managers have no clue about coding all they know is excel sheets, oxford dictionary -> no respect for individual -> managers asking for linked in reviews -> 40 under 40? haha there are things money cant buy for everything else there is MasterCard! - people boasting about vipasana , while they are empty and evil from inside, sycophancy gets you rewards and recognition

      Pros

      The reviews : Most of the negative reviews are from freshers who have a tendency to get polarised easily. If everyone starts to speak for themselves, its not that bad. Those who talk about work life balance should know its abundant in larger companies like HCL, Infosys, TCS etc , but then you don't get that sort of exposure. One year of absolutdata experience adds more to your resume than 3 years in such "work life balance" companies. Its only that people realise that a little late. As for me, this place gives me a lots of exposure not just in technology, but with domain as well.

      Cons

      To some extent the HR is like school teachers, reprimanding employees over stuff nd all. Policies of in time 11 o clock, formal attire, late timesheet fine and half day on WFH etc is a bit regressive.
