I worked at Accolite full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. Not too much bureaucracy, mid/senior people are reachable 2. HR is also reachable (not much of help, that is different) 3. If you get a good project/client, you can enjoy casual dressing, flexible working hours 4. IF you perform well & also are in good books of your management, you get decent benefits 5. Few people are technically good, so if you just stay for couple of years, it's better than most of the large scale companies 6. Used to have some basic snacks at pantry, and occasional evening snacks. There's ping-pong, Foosball & carrom 7. In general people are friendly, and not much politics at low levels 8. They celebrate some events in office at times, which are good 9. Hikes are pretty weak, so you have to negotiate really hard while joining. If you negotiate enough, you can land a decent joining offer

    Cons

    1. For anything good, you have to be on your manager and their managers' good books. By any means. If not, you'll not see anything good within the org 2. The quality of engineers used to be quite good, but has fallen drastically over last few years. Now they just find resumes, sort by notice period and ECTC and hire 3. They talk about many things, but it's just another software service company. Just slightly better than TCS/CTS, only because it's smaller in size. Nothing else. They talk about `Best Technical Mind`, own small products and all...but well...nothing as such. You join, get deployed for a client, work as per client wish. No exception 4. As a service company, they have almost no onsite opportunities. If that is something you expect, do NOT join 5. In the hiring process, do NOT believe anything unless it is written 6. The company used to have bunch of really good developers who you could learn from, but all of them have left. New ones do not match the quality. You can do some research in LinkedIn, you'll figure out 7. The company has no direction or vision. They have no clue what they want to do or want to be. Most of the BU heads have been there forever, they have zero idea of what happens outside this company. They have no idea how to get newer/bigger projects. They'd do anything to retain the projects, at ANY cost. And keep trying to push more developers in the projects somehow 8. It gets nasty once you become senior, you'll get to know how the higher management and execs actually run the company :) 9. Equipment and infrastructure are frequently outdated, and they avoid investing in them 10. For a small company like this, the politics and groupism they have is funny and sad. But again, that doesn't affect you much until you are mid-senior
