      Do not recommend

      Pros

Fellow colleagues are enjoyable to work with.

      Cons

The ever-revolving L1 team is out of touch with employees and continues to show they have no idea what they are doing. The strategy of growth by acquisition has led to products that don't work (independently or with one another), despite roadmaps that wish otherwise. Product releases are slow, defect-heavy and not properly tested. Management continues to run off knowledgable and competent employees due to software that doesn't work, low pay and lack of career advancement options. This managment approach is further corroborated by back-filling US-based positions to lower-paying markets around the world. US-based attrition is clearly the last remaining growth strategy for operating profit.

Strong Company Always Working To Get Better

May 4, 2021 - Senior Sales Engineer in Denver, CO

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Strong company actively working to grow. This can be a very stable place to work. Definitely be passionate about what you do. Lots of really great people. Negotiate a competitive salary up front... Accruent tends to hire a lot of really great people, train them, help them develop and help grow their skillset. This has given them the reputation for being a great company to build your resume. However you can have a really great long-term career here if are a "Go-getter" and you know how to advocate for yourself.

      Cons

Analogy- Accruent will hire you as a mailroom clerk and provide you with the skills and training to be a software engineer. Then when they promote you to a software engineer they will give you a 20% increase in pay on your original mailroom clerk salary. You might appreciate this for a year or 2 before you realize that the base salary for an entry level software engineer is 60% higher than mailroom clerks. You now feel undervalued knowing that you are worth 40% more that you are being paid. You ask your manager for a raise and they give you an additional 5-10% to make you feel better. You don't feel better and you ultimately end up finding a position elsewhere that will pay you what you are worth and you leave... It is bittersweet because you appreciate the opportunity you were given to gain experience and work with great people, yet you feel frustrated because the organization you enjoyed working for would not pay you what you were worth. This best describes Accruent's current struggles with attrition. I dread being offered a management role because I know that the extra work will not be worth the minimal compensation increase (if any). If you understand what you are getting into and you are willing to fight for what you are worth, Accruent can be a really great place for you. All of that being said: They are working on building a stronger review process to get everyone aligned with market value pay and I have seen some really great progress being made here. However, at this point in time- if you are going to work for Accruent, don't plan on - getting in the door, then proving your value and expecting a significant increase/raise. Be sure to negotiate top pay upon hire as significant pay increases (even with promotion) are still very rare. I have seen a lot of solid talent leave the organization for this reason. Disclaimer- If you have proven your value - Accruent will typically counter offer you if you go out and find another job for more pay. Unfortunately, if you have gotten to this point you are probably going to leave anyway.

Neutral Outlook, Don't Love the Changing Leadership

      Jun 28, 2021 - Marketing

      Pros

Since COVID, Accruent has been permanently work from home. Being under Fortive (parent company) has brought some decent benefits and more purposed direction.

      Cons

Pay is way lower than industry standards. New leadership doesn't give off great confidence to employees.
