      Pros

      It's a great place to learn what it means to be a salesman in general. There are a number of mainstay clients many people work on and a number of smaller ones that come and go. If your account ends most likely so will your employment. Although, many people are eventually hired on to work in house for their account. I was laid off during the Covid crisis because my account withdrew from Acquirent. If it hadn't id probably still be working there and somewhat satisfied with how things are going. I enjoyed my coworkers.

      Cons

      Little to no upward mobility. High burnout rate. There's a five step promotion ladder that once you reach the end results in you still actively making cold calls and not making much more than you started at. It's good for making you look great applying to other places, but none are true promotions or change your responsibilities.

      Pros

      Acquirent is a great place to hone your sales skills. Not only does Acquirent have a great structured training program, but the managers/clients ensure that you have industry-specific training also. There is also a solid opportunity for career growth here - the upper management has promised to only promote from within. Also, since Acquirent sells for dozens of other companies, reps get the unique opportunity to learn how to sell into several industries. CULTURE IS AWESOME - they have an awesome philanthropy and social initiative - and have just announced a Presidents Club trip every year.

      It all depends on the client you're selling for.

      Pros

      Acquirent has a great company culture and it is hard to find a better group of people to work with in sales. I started at this company right out of college and it was a great place to develop skills and grow as a professional in a positive environment.

      Cons

      There is no real career path. If you are ambitious and goal oriented use this job as a resume builder.

      The culture there is great, I had 0 sales experience and they had me up and running in 3 days! A great place to get your foot in the door to start a sales career

      You're going to do a lot of cold calling before they let you do anything else, and when they hired me they kept on dropping the offer of my Salary during the hiring process

      Pros

      Acquirent is unlike any other sales company I have worked for in my career, going above and beyond to focus on the development of their teams and each individual rep. From training to mentorship to the bolstering of the management team, Acquirent is keyed in on their most important asset, their sales people. Walking into Acquirent, you will feel the buzz and warmness of the culture as well as observe the eagerness of the community to welcome in any visitor, guest speaker, new hire or anyone else that may walk through our doors. It is a positive, dynamic and exciting atmosphere that attracts a wide variety of clients and sales people. Working in downtown Evanston is great, not as busy as Chicago but still all the amenities of the big city. Acquirent really is a great place to start your sales career, advance your sales career or throw down some roots to hone your management skills.

      Sales is a dynamic environment, things are constantly changing and Acquirent is no exception. In order to be successful in this environment or any sales position nowadays, one needs to not only be open to change but embrace it.

      Pros

      The company is comprised of a very close-knit community of employees. They all work get hard to make sure you can improve as a professional. The company provides several training opportunities to help you hone and acquire new skills. Awesome environment all around.

      Cons

      This is a great place to work while you are establishing your sales career. They are currently developing more of a tiered structure to enhance your ability to grow with the company. This is a much welcomed change.

      The management is more than amazing, everyone truly wants to help you out here! When you start you go through training classes once a week-- these training classes help you get a better understanding of how to sell. I started fresh out of college, and think this is a great place to start out!

      Cons

      This is an outsourcing company, so your client may leave and you may get put on an account you do not like.. If that is the case, talk to management they will try to help you out and get you on another account

      • Excellent sales training • I work with 100 people my same age • Open floor plan makes conversation easy • Friendly, supportive environment • Great location in downtown Evanston • $35k base salary + commission • Great work-life balance: 8-5, M-F.

      Cons

      • Commission can be hard to obtain (depends on the account) • You're pressured to be your best (but that's good!) • No upward mobility - this is the only real con and everyone working here understands that. This is an outsourced sales company. It's a great place to gain experience before moving on to somewhere else, but not a good place to climb the colloquial ladder.
