As a professional consulting services firm, it is true that most work weeks involve more than 40 hours. Our average is about 45 hours per week and certainly there are surge periods when more time is needed to meet project requirements. During these periods, we have high expectations of all consultants and staff at Acumen Solutions, regardless of Visa status. As a salaried employee, these hours are considered when setting your annual salary, and you are correct in that overtime does not apply. However, there is added financial compensation in the annual bonus if the employee's annual utilization target is exceeded. We are disappointed to hear that you believe that only Caucasians are promoted, as this is factually inaccurate. Strong performance over time, including success with different clients and projects, along with strong utilization and other corporate contributions, are all considered when evaluating promotions.
