I have been working at Aegon full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Career development and very supportive or where you are wanting to get to in your career. Invest in trainings, courses, conferences, learnings. - If you have the right managers, you will be able to progress within the organisation if there are roles suitable for you - Working with various countries across the globe and connecting with great colleagues across the board

    Cons

    - White middle aged men lead - very male lead - Top heavy - although they say a very flat and non hierarchical, not much really gets past senior management as still a very traditional organisation - Out dated from legacy to even thinking, takes a long time to implement projects and lucky if they get launched. - The other country units you work with are very, very slow. Not at the same maturity. - If you want to be transformational, think of this as a very long term journey.

I have been working at Aegon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

On site parking, canteen, staff generally nice, good training at the beginning

    Cons

Wages are shockingly low, when i have asked about a wage rise due to my experience within Aegon and the industry as a whole i was told "theres nothing we can do". When they said that they meant it. My manager closed the book on it there and then, HR werent even asked the question. Everything is micromanaged to insane levels. There is very much a blame culture within the platform. They have dealt with lockdown pretty well i would say. Although, completing the work alone in my home has certainly made me realise i do not have much of a future within this business. If you join, make sure you get in a management clique asap.
