I have been working at Aer Lingus full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Great co-workers and travel benefits

    Cons

Management attitude towards staff. Little to no money spent on staff engagement / reward. Zero engagement in new work practices such working from home and no effort put into promoting a work / life balance

    Advice to Management

Treat staff the same way you treat yourselves and be open to exploring new work practices. It is not the 1980's anymore, company cultures and work practices have changed significantly but Aer Lingus is stuck in the past like its canteen menu. General consensus amongst staff is the only job you should take in Aer Lingus is a pilot job.

    Cons

Where should I start... - rosters done so badly that body is worn out after only a few months of flying -EASA regulations which are to protect crew members not adhered to -HUGE lack of support towards Crew Members -if sick twice then threatened with investigations -Union not putting enough pressure on airline -seasonal contracts painful as you could be off for up to 6 months for 2-3 years in a row -problems with management...
