Horrible culture and leadership
28 May 2021 - Recruiter in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Experience in a fast paced working environment, good talent pool, CRM system to recruit through
Cons
Horrible leadership from director level to immediate supervisors. “Feedback” is always the motto the entire team and management go off of when this should be something not to base success off of. It’s all about favortism with the company and you can quickly see how management to team members turn on you for one little thing even when you produce more than enough. My advice is to not work here for the amount of daily stress everyone puts on you even when you think you’re in a good spot. It’s not just about “spread” which is your own commision you produce however if you don’t act like the way they want you to virtually to in person, you will not grow and be frowned upon. HR needs to be looped in more however it’s sad that nothing is done from the way these employees are promoted. They’re are good people in certain areas but if you want to be stressed to the max daily, no work life balance, always given “feedback” for right & wrong, treated like a child, underpaid, MICROMANAGED by “METRICS” and just flat out unhappy, do NOT work for Aerotek at all. There is a reason why this company and the entire Allegis Group has a high turnover ratio. The writing is always on the wall candidates, you’ll eventually see for yourself...

Pros
The people I worked with were great and I made some long term friendships there (none of which are still at Aerotek by the way!). Compensation is ok- but you can most likely find something less demoralizing and with a better work environment and career opportunities.
Cons
The expectations are absolutely ridiculous considering they only hire entry level new grads with no recruitment experience. a Very micro managed environment borderline bullying/harassments behavior I was appalled at how employees were treated and spoken to. WAY too much feedback that is not delivered properly at all, absolutely no work life balance they expect you to devote your life to the job. So much drama in the work place, I felt like I was in high school.

Pros
It is a great place to get your foot in the door. They spend a lot of time training and developing you. Room for growth.
Cons
No work life balance. Takes a lot of work to actually make money. No "off" days. You are being tracked every minute/hour/day on your productivity. Not a place for those who don't want to micromanaged.

Pros
Short term it is great. They have a solid training and development plan that prepares you to be an outstanding recruiter. If you decided to continue down a career of recruitment at a different company you will have the skills to stand out and be very successful.
Cons
You will have no work life balance. The only growth opportunities is to go into sales. Micromanaged by people who have no concept of what it means to be a manager. They just push numbers. Recruiters are usually to blame for low spread even if their managers are not getting enough business for the recruiter to work on. Almost everyone is driven by money and will cut corners to get ahead.

Pros
Great expense account, learning opportunities, no cap on how much commission you make
Cons
No work life balance, toxic culture, commission rate is extremely low unless you are management, base pay is low and you do not qualify for overtime but expected to put in the hours
