Aircraft Maintenance Technician in March Arb, CA
    Recommends
    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Air Force Reserve for more than a year

    Pros

It is a good environment to learn aircraft maintenance, and any necessary training is supplied by the Air Force. The starting pay at March ARB is great considering the comparison to active duty pay with the same rank and position. The retirement options in Federal retirement, as well as military retirement is attractive.

    Cons

To have the position, one has to have a commitment to the Air Force Reserves, meaning military training, fitness, and professional lifestyle. It's not really a con being in the military, I'm just not a huge fan of the fitness portion.
