    I worked at Altran Americas full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    1) Good technology to work 2) Flexible timings 3) work life balance depends on manager and project 4) No variable component for employees till Tech lead level

    Cons

    A very bad company for employees above E5 grade. Very poor annual hikes for senior professionals. Very high variable component in the compensation when compared to industry. Absolutely No job security. Employees who were working for decades were shown the door on the same day. Almost all the new projects are allocated to Gurgaon and other cities are given impartial treatment.

    Pros

    The best place to learn during the initial stage of your career. Salary is good enough in the early stages and hike will be around 8-12% each year based on your performance.

    Cons

    Work life balance is based on the project.

    Pros

    HR has maintained the culture of fun & team building activities which is good.

    Cons

    Higher management and policies are highly unreliable. You can't trust what management is saying, they will show they are taking care of you but will ditch you once their purpose is fullfilled. Policies are not employee friendly, they are revenue & profit oreiented. Quality of intake of new employees is not good enough, company is just increasing the numbers by compromising the quality.

    Pros

    1. Flexible timings 2. Wfh depends on client projects or managers 3. Performance hike is meaningful till E4, Tech leads. 4. Its a good company if below cons doesn't bother you or if they don't effect you.

    Cons

    Many.. 1. Politics bw gurgaon and other locations, higher management is at ggn for many of the core projects and the left over piece is generally shared with other locations, same applies for on site opportunities as well. 2. Frequent policy change wrt annual review cycle. 3. No arrears for Sr Tech lead and above when salary cycle shifted from FY to CY in 2019. 4. No bonus will be paid (15%) for Sr Tech lead... Even if you have completed 1 year... Since u r in notice. I have completed 1year 3 months but notice was not paid despite year long hard efforts. 4. HRs generally agrees with what directors or avps suggest. 5. Many unethical practices I have seen during my tenure as manager wrt giving bad ratings and laying off employees. 6. The reasons shared by non competent non technical managers during performance reviews are discouraging. 7. They never pay variable bonus full amount.. Quarterly mails from ceo says we are in record profit.. But yearly bonus payouts are degrading year by year. 8. Every one works on name sake proposals just to satisfy their managers in ladder.. Very few are customer centric... The feeling what I have seen in many managers or directors are it doesn't matter if we get this project or not.. Which is not a healthy sign. 9. If you know java.. They feel you are good for java script. If you know. Net they feel u r good in python.. Haha... I have seen many such instances.. 10. Management will listen to you only when you are in niche skill set and you have resigned.. This is the only time they will remember that you exist in the company.. You will be getting calls from all levels of management to stay back with some peanut hikes and on site offerings...

    - Good company to learn basics - Seniors are always there for support - quality process to control the quality of code or doc - collaboration is good

    Cons

    - Salaries are below market standered - So much fear from customer escalations. Due to this client taking advantage and Forcing engineers to work more than expected. - Your escalation will lost in so many management layers - You will never know when you get fired - Less exposure to customer for junior team member. You need to gain at least 5 Year’s experience for the same. - Most of the time quality control process effort is far more than the development effort. - You will get less carrier enhance opportunity here.
