I have been working at AmeriCorps

    Pros

In general, this is a great way to gain experience in the non-profit field. Your experience will depend on the site in which you are placed. At my site, I've had the opportunity to gain valuable skills in building a volunteer program, recruiting, data management, project management, and much more.

    Cons

I would say these also vary based on your site and your goals. Given this is a service position, there is no wage, just a stipend.
