Pros
I liked this job when I started in Feb. of 2022 because of the provided vehicle and leaving straight from home to my first job, but it hasn't been worth it.
Cons
They've restructured the entire middle management team with extremely little notice to employees who have relocated for their jobs, putting their livelihood in jeopardy. I'm in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and have received little to no help from HR with accommodations. They said their only accommodation would be providing a remote position until after I give birth. They provided no help with obtaining that position. I even applied to 4 different remote positions that became available since Oct, my 1st trimester, and was denied those positions with no explanation as to why. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and I'm still doing outdoor labor around pesticides because I can't afford to lose my benefits by finding another job, as if someone would hire me while being this pregnant. I've given my all to this company and I'm highly valued by the multitude of clients that I've created valuable relationships with, yet not valued by this company. All Summer I worked 60+ hours a week to be sure I, and this company, were viewed favorably and haven't received the same effort from them. Honestly just so sad and disappointed with them.

Pros
Senior will try to help you to be equal as them
Cons
I never received any bonus from last 2 years
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Bonuses for contractors are not industry standard and if that is an expectation for compensation, it should be determined during the offer process or with the agency you are working with.

Pros
I've had a lot of jobs in my day, and I have to tell you that Aptive is by far the BEST company I have ever worked for. Incredibly supportive, wholesome, and inclusive. Not only has working here made me not hate clocking in every morning, but it's also helped me with a lot of my anxiety and other things that were holding me back mentally. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. I try to talk everyone I care about into applying here. Seriously. It's the best.
Cons
Nobody is perfect, but Aptive definitely owns its (few) mistakes and more than makes up for it. I personally have no cons to list.

Awesome company & culture
30 May 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Provo, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Executive leadership cares about employees. Deep down, they want to provide a great employee & customer experience. It's fun to work out of the corporate office (Block Parties with food trucks, activities/prizes; wellness program; swag give outs, DEI lunch & learns, etc.). The corporate office is a very safe environment and you can make connections with anyone if you put forth minimal effort.
Cons
Each dept grew too fast at the corporate office a few years back. There weren't enough processes in place and it really hurt us. As we've grown, communication between departments has become more diminished. I also worry about the average Service Pro working out in the field servicing 14-18 homes/day in the summer heat. They typically don't feel as connected to the company, their mgr, or the overall mission.

Dont work for the company that doesnt care about your well being
19 May 2023 - Pest Control Technician in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Company Truck, gas cars and pto with a bunch of overtime plus the culture that was around the office.
Cons
Everything else. The workload, the lies for promotions. Screwing people over from managers to Techs. Upper Management putting their work on the technicians (wanting them to explain what new products do instead of sending out an email or calling them about it). Sending out the techs to appointments a month, maybe 2 months in advance instead of honoring the agreement. And maxing out the stops (16-18 per day) and expecting us to finish it. All this company ever cared about is numbers and yes men. They should have cared about the top performering people instead of the brown nosers and yes men. And the stuff that techs deal with on a daily basis is not worth the small "bonuses" that they give out (giving out a 30 cent raise one year and a 50 cent raise the next is not a bonus). Also the fact that the people who speak out and try to make it bearable to work here get punished while the yes men get promoted. Unless you like feeling like a work horse and being slaved away, do NOT work for this company.

One of the Most Polarizing Positions
1 May 2023 - Pest Control TechnicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You are equipped with a company vehicle and a gas card, so the only thing you need to worry about is your time and lunch basically. You are pretty much sent out all on your own with the expectation you meet standards while performing services for customers. Fairly easy job
Cons
Weekly meetings in office that let out at the time you're supposed to start your route. Daily meetings on days you're not in the office that convey very little if any useful information. Weekly truck inspections that are lazily performed and again keep you at the office until after the time you're supposed to have started your route. Route system can take you all over the place with no rhyme or reason. Office/call center staff don't do their job when customers call in to reschedule or suspend their contracts. Very very POOR communication within the company. Very worn and used equipment that's partially or entirely faulty and makes the job more difficult than is needed. The people around you do not perform the job up to standard and causes fall back on you if you're the following technician.

The WORST upper management in the country
9 Apr 2023 - Area Manager in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
All of my SPs in Austin, the absolute best people in the world. Loved working with those guys.
Cons
Everything else. The micromanaging of upper management, the broken promises, massive workloads for technicians without listening to concerns. I could keep going if you’d like, the unwillingness to purchase products, taking away local managers ability to pay for things, lying Sales Reps that are not reprimanded. This company loves to preach having top tier KPIs, while only promoting “yes men” who do not have the numbers to backup the promotions. Regional Managers in positions they have no business being in, inappropriate conversations, inappropriate drawn out pictures being sent in group chats by one of the Directors of Operations, and scheduling customers 2-3 times more often than they should be in the year. Just do not get involved with this company if you’re on the operations side. You will be worked to the bone, blamed for all issues, and expected to show up the next day with a smile on your face regardless of how blatant their discrimination is. You will never accomplish what we did in Austin for the last few years, good job ruining the culture of the entire company with these new decisions.
