    Positive reinforcement from Education Teachers; Assisting Adult Inmate (Peer) learning and achieving mandatory education requirements for early release qualifications (85%); Providing positive feedback; Tutoring outside class hours.

    Cons

    Pay rate; well below rates provisioned make inmate laterals. ($.45 Skilled Pay) vs. ($1.50 Skilled Pay-Mens prison employment).

    Job security with advancement opportunities.

    Cons

    Extremely short staffed, perform duties once done by several staff, Staff to inmate ratio: 200, up to 400+ Inmates to 1 Staff at times. Benefits was once a defined benefits, reduced to a 401b. Medical cost roughly the same with higher deductibles. Last raise was over 13 years wait for 10% increase. Best use as a stepping stone and get out fast.
