Doesn't RecommendNo Opinion of CEOI worked at B&G Foods full-time for more than a year
Pros
Some very nice people and potential room to grow depending on which department you work with. The benefits are just ok but not all of them kick in right away such as the 401k that is only offered to staff who have been there over 6 months. The hours are nice with 8.30 to 5pm monday to thursday and get to leave 2.30pm on fridays
Cons
The entire experience here is a luck of the draw. Each department is so different you might have a great experience in one team and get to take long lunches and leave at 5pm each day, or you might be miserable in another team getting exactly 30mins for lunch (not a second more) and have to work longer hours. Small family style management in certain department, HR looks the other way at a lot of violations and allows some management to get away with treating their staff poorly. Some departments pay very generously and others are extremely stingy and there is no rhyme or reason. A lot of manual work is done that could be automated, with a lot of hard copy paper trails that can easily be misplaced instead of electronic files. Old ERP system slows the process down

I worked at B&G Foods part-time for more than a year
Pros
Great group of people, I really, really like my coworkers. Good culture and the company is headed in an exciting direction
Cons
Salaries seem quite a bit lower than elsewhere. Internal promotional opportunities aren’t easy to come by.
