I have been working at BASF full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good Health Insurance benefits, flexible job hrs

    Cons

Procurement steers the ship, not real world results. IT also locks you down....literally. Safety makes it tough to have anything outsourced. the company may be the worst at what they do, but if they have a good safety record they are in. Basically, the company ties your hands behind your back via "support" functions. No empowerment given to the employees making decisions

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the mud. Allow your employees who are passionate about making a difference and actually care about the work they do to support the company. Free up the people on the ground, to get quick support and resources to keep them moving and keep the company moving forward with innovation. Rather than tying their hands with a thousand approvals/procurement checks/IT security limitations/Safety background... checks.
