I have been working at BASF full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great benefits, coworkers are great, and diversity is high.

    Cons

Over focus on the companies PDP’s, can be tough to advance if you were a part of the program

    Advice to Management

Stop giving high level jobs to unqualified PDP’s and put more emphasis on connections and industry experience

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at BASF full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

easy work. just follow your instruction and order from the boss. Most of people are nice.

    Cons

advancement is very short. It is about who you know, not what you know. it is better to get experience and move on to other company. They don't want you think or over think. just do you job. put in your hours and get pay and get out... There are many dangerous chemicals in the building.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at BASF for more than a year

    Pros

Great chance for experience if you're coming in as an entry level employee. Management is very receptive to suggestions or complaints.

    Cons

Low employee retention, most lab techs leave after a year or two for better opportunities with more pay and easier hours. Workload can be seasonal if the plant produces for agriculture, leaving you either very busy or very bored. 12 hour shifts can really take it out of you.

    Advice to Management

Many lab techs see this job as a stepping stone, not a career. Perhaps consider higher wages or more opportunity for growth within the company.
