I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

Team Leaders are awful, uneducated, no management skills, not desirable.

    Advice to Management

Workloads are not even for TA's. Management knows this and does not care. Your reward for being efficient, is more work. It paints you into a corner, because they don't want to replace you and train someone else (they are lazy). You become unpromotable, and they leave you there to rot.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Salary was good but you're expected to work through lunch sometimes and stay longer at times as well. Good benefits as well

    Cons

Training takes forever, I didn't have my own accounts until my 7th week there.

    Advice to Management

Improve training methods, be better prepared to give employees access to systems

I worked at BNY Mellon for more than a year

    Pros

Great people and a strong push on advanced software. Company does care about their people and there is a global reach.

    Cons

Work isn't complex and becomes extremely redundant and repetitive fast. Anyone working as a TA should only be doing it for no more than 2 years. The goal is to attain a CSM or accounting position or leave. Last, but not least, there is a serious lack of promoting from within. I won't complain about the pay, because getting paid more would be unfair.

    Advice to Management

    Promote more from within.

I worked at BNY Mellon for less than a year

    Pros

There are good food options across all of their buildings, very strict nine to five hours, right in the heart of downtown.

    Cons

Each floor has so many people that it is difficult to excel and be noticed. They use many software systems all with different logins.

    Advice to Management

Create a culture that allows for recognition.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Crappy company with no direction

    Cons

No advancement or growth opportunities. Pay is horrible and well below market value. Brown nosing is a must and the interview process is ridiculous. Honestly, some managers don't even interview you and why brown nosing is a must

    Advice to Management

Promote growth instead of restricting it. Conduct real interviews and be prepared to offer constructive criticism afterwards. Organization and thorough planning should be key for a portion of business that is holding on by meer threads

    Pros

Good diversity of work and people. People are generally willing to help if one is willing to ask. Good for learning.

    Cons

A bank with a long history. Many policies and system. Very challenging if one wants to get things done fast. Systems can also be very troublesome to deal with.
