I have been working at Banana Republic part-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Schedules are very flexible and service leaders encourage you to update your availability whenever possible. -Friendly staf

    Cons

Job can be repetitive, often customers will come with questions that realistically only a manager or service leader can answer. -Computer training is long, but most of it is basic. The real challenge is actually handling the floor with customers. -Service leaders and managers will keep pressuring you to sign up customers with credit cards and emails, it gets annoying. -It can be slow and boring. -No proper training for register

I have been working at Banana Republic full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discount on clothes from Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, and Banana Republic. There is some flexibility with your schedule. For example, if you had a doctors appointment in the morning, you could likely work that evening. Good place to learn the ins and outs of retail management.

    Cons

As management, your schedule changes at a moments notice and it's up to you to find a way to make it happen. Shifts often only have 7-8 hours in between the time you leave and return the next day. There is no work/life balance for most management. 12+ hour days are not outside of the norm.
