Pros

-unlimited overtime -Good pay for clinicians -Good benefits (medical, vision, etc)

Cons

-horrible shift work, holidays and weekends required/ no work life balance -Bullying by admin -easy to accumulate hours for professional license -parking costs -uncomfortable office (temp always too hot or too cold, small cubicles, uncomfortable seating) -co-workers gossipy and cliquish -extremely high turn over -always understaffed, no down time between crisis calls

Thank you for your response. We appreciate your candor and feedback. As an organization who works to serve our community we know that a Crisis Has No Schedule and want to be available 24/7/365. Due to our desire to meet our consumers where they are we want to provide resources for them at all times which includes working holidays, weekends, and evenings. This is something that BHL discusses during the phone screening process prior to interview scheduling. The purpose is to ensure that the candidate understands the expectation and required commitment to a shift when offered employment. At BHL we take our Harassment and Anti-Retaliation policies very seriously. At any time an employee feels they have been bullied or harassed we expect them to notify our Human Resources team immediately. We have a Zero Tolerance for this behavior. Any matters of this nature are addressed immediately and resolved as soon as possible. Parking costs in the downtown take can be a challenge for any employee and employer. We encourage employees to take MARTA or purchases a monthly pass to alleviate the fluctuating prices of parking due to our location. For those who choose monthly parking, BHL was able to negotiate a reduced rate for the adjoining lots. In another effort to reduce some of the financial burden, BHL also has a Commuter Benefit plan for those who which to deduct the cost of their parking or MARTA fees pre-taxed.

Pros

Holiday rewards during holiday season, honors birthdays, plenty of opportunities for OT, not a long wait for a raise.

Cons

Too many too name!!!! Poor management, orientation and training period is a unorganized hot mess. Gotta beg for time off and will probably get approved for one day at a minimum. Burnout rate is high and just not worth stressing yourself over working there. Upper management is rude, insensitive, and has nasty attitudes. Parking is way to expensive. Quality management has antiquated expectations and expectations don’t fall in line with what you were trained on. High turnover, so it’s always short staffed. Definitely, not a good place to work for career advancement.
