    Pros

Career advancement opportunities available, opportunity to make a difference.

    Cons

Company is working to change culture, however not making a lot of actual changes to do so other than talk about it. Frustrating to employees after talking about it for a couple years already.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Bemis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good environment, safe and stable. Gain share is nice and 401k match is great. People are friendly everywhere you go. The bar for success is pretty low.

    Cons

Too risk averse, difficult to get direction from leadership. Decisions seem reactive. Lack of turnover from middle management leads to lack of opportunities for ambitious employees. Long term employees are complete barriers to progress.

    Decent pay for the area
    benefits
all the overtime you could ask for

    Extreme Mandatory overtime
    little work/life balance
work 13 days on 1 day off often
Policies seem to change often without notice to the employees
    Communication from management lacks
Plant seems to want quantity instead of quality.
upper management doesn't understand what it's like in the departments, although they think they know everything

    Advice to Management

Learn from your employees more, ask them for their input. working 60 hours a week just makes employees fatigued and puts the safety of the employee, work, and product in jeopardy.

I have been working at Bemis full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great company that does a good job balancing long-term business health with short term demands. Leadership is placing a focus on improving performance, from both a total-company financial perspective and an individual-employee perspective. Accountability is weaving its way throughout the organization, which is a great thing for hard-working, results-oriented employees. Lots of career advancement opportunities, and the company rewards employees who deliver/perform.

    Cons

It takes time to weave the change through the entire organization. Good start, a way to go yet. Probably true at any company undergoing change.

    Advice to Management

Continue to have high expectations for our organization.
