Store wasn't over crowded. Did not need constant clean up or folding clothes like a clothing store

My team was great and extremely supportive. Had little sales experience prior to this job, but thanks to them I picked up great skills.

Some practices just seemed inefficient, and not equipped to handle large volumes of customers.

Pros
- easy tasks to complete - easy system to use - attainable KPI's - get to collaborate with your co-workers to increase chances of sale - promotions weren't complicated, lasted a while so it wasn't confusing - had a lot of fun working there in general, made new friends along the way
Cons
- no training on how to sell well, had to learn on my own via observation - no guarantee for promotions, will say that you may and never fall through - no increase in earnings given to seniority or commission - cliques/drama was a problem, but if you keep to yourself then it's okay but god forbid you would have a problem or talk to your DM (you won't win the fight).

Easy shifts, good first job experience
Cons
Not the best environment if you want something fast paced, time doesn't pass quickly. Can get very dusty as well. You spend a lot of time standing because there aren't any chairs.

Pros
Learn selling skills, learn product knowledge about luggage (and some about airline policies/travel tips), lots of one on one time with customers to build a sale, a good position for someone just starting out in retail
Cons
Working alone a lot of the time can be very boring (often single coverage in the store), last minute promo and visual changes often, customers will yell at you over luggage warranty policy (guaranteed to happen at least once if you stay with the company long enough)
