Pros

Basically nothing this company is a scheme

Cons

This whole organization is pretty is a pyramid scheme and a front. I'm a recent graduate and though I was going to be working as a "Sales Executive" but it turned out the job was a door to door sales man. There are no "Executives" in this office. In the interview and the job description they were very misleading about what the job actually was. They kept on trying to hype me up about how much money I would be making and how I could own my own office. They train their employees to solicit and lie to people about the products they are selling. It's completely sketchy. The hours are long and I would have had to work Saturdays. The pay is minimum wage with commission. This company is disreputable and should be exposed as the scam it pretty much is.

Even at entry level, we have no 'outside door knocking' or 'B2B cold calling' positions within our business. Our clients currently outsource us to execute Retail and Events programs and we have explicit agreements preventing outside sales which is not in line with their branding policies. As far as 'minimum wage' is concerned, everyone in our business takes home a base salary consummate with their position. We actually gain a positive response during recruitment from the fact we have no 'commission only' positions, which from our experience candidates are often seeking to avoid.

Pros

Opportunity to travel. I've been able to work in many places throughout the US and want to go even further when we expand internationally. No Stagnation, an abundance of growth opportunities. There's never a dull moment. It's a fast paced environment full of hard working individuals looking to achieve their goals. The working environment is extraordinarily diverse. I love that we don't have a particular type of person that fits in-- everyone can.

Cons

The challenges are that you have to really put in the effort to succeed. You cannot take any shortcuts and have a day of laziness.

Pros

- Good only if you want to do sales in person and "cold call" customers

Cons

- They pretend they need a marketing assistant when really, it's a sales position - You don't even work for the company; you're a contractor for other sales companies, such as Xfinity or AT&T - Pay is not consistent; sometimes they "forget" to pay you - You need to have a personal vehicle to drive all over the bay for these sales locations - They're shady and do not let you know what your base salary is and the pay check fluctuates heavily based on commission

It sounds like you were involved at entry level in a Brand Ambassador or customer service position. Our marketing is not by definition cold calling, as it involves consumers coming to us at events and retail activation programs. Also every member of our team is contracted to Berkeley Executives. We are merely outsourced by clients as is the nature of being a marketing company. Admittedly face to face Brand Ambassador work is not for everyone and we apologize if you did not find the position a match. Only the minority of our team actually use their own vehicles, and we have compensation for this. I feel like there has likely been a breakdown in communication somewhere here and if you contact us on admin@berkeleyexecutives.com we will attempt to remedy it. In fact our ex brand ambassadors will testify that we are more than generous with our face to face teams.
