    1. It's a great factory for leaders
    2. Almost live by what we say in our Mission, Vision, Values
    3. Zero compromise on ethics. Professionals can proudly say they work for B&V. Every rupee we earn is very ethical, no short cuts are allowed.

    6. Always nurture the professionals in terms of trainings
    7. Exceptional culture
    8. Highly process oriented, Quality/Safety minded professionals

I touched few points, but there are many more to mention.

    Cons

    1. Not a pay master

    3. It is hard for intuitive people to sell an idea internally, as their idea is validated by many smart/logical people (proof of burden).

    Advice to Management

Think if we can call ourselves as B&V Infrastructure Company as we can do many more such as Roads, Town Planning, Industrial, Commercial industries.

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at Black & Veatch full-time

    Pros

Nothing worth mentioning. It is a body shop.

    Cons

    1. Extremely incompetent bunch of staff.
    2. People having no relevant experience prance around as experts.
    3. Typical consulting mentality.
    4. No ownership of work.

People in the b&V India operations are typical consultants. They have no relevant experience but prance around as experts on everything. Very low end work is carried out from India, specially Pune office. In pune office, people with diplomas are preferred over graduate engineers as the work done is mostly drafting. The operations of Pune office is like the proverbial "Emperor's New Clothes". Everyone knows the emperor is naked but the one to point it out is termed as non conformist. If you have any iota of self respect for the technical skills you carry as a graduate engineer, stay away from this body shop.
People with irrelevant skills are positioned in top roles.s.
This should give all of you a nice insight of the (mis) management.

    Advice to Management

    Management? What management.....

I worked at Black & Veatch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the best things I found at Black & Veatch offices was the work culture. It tries to maintain a perfect work life balance. It has one of the best knowledge pools, full of resources.

    Cons

Probably not the best option for your first company as their are no set plans for the training of fresh graduates.

    Advice to Management

I think they should try to make set training plans in order to orient fresh graduates better.
