I worked at Boston Properties full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The benefits are pretty great. Some of the professional staff are really friendly and great to work with. Your role is fairly clearly delineated. There is a gym in the building and you're permitted to exercise on your lunch. They are also fairly flexible with your schedule if you have special circumstances. They also provide a commuting stipend which is awesome because it's right next to the Foggy Bottom metro station.

    Cons

As administrative staff, you are treated very differently than the professional staff. If you're 5 minutes late, you are reprimanded. If you complain or speak to your supervisor about a problem, not much will happen in the way of resolution. There is no where to grow from an administrative position. Some of the other administrative staff are wonderful people who are really enjoyable to work with but others are unbearable to be around and offensive and have driven more than one person to leave the company.

I have been working at Boston Properties full-time

    Pros

Talented and driven colleagues, inclusive environment, flat/lean organization, accessible leadership that has its employees best interests in mind, tons of responsibility, outstanding learning opportunities by working on some of the most complex projects.

    Cons

Physical office environment is dated but this is a minor drawback; savings here roll into fantastic perks, benefits, educational programs, salary/bonuses, expenses, etc. Somewhat of an unsustainable workload at the top of the real estate cycle.
