My experience at Branch was a short stint but long enough for me to establish a set of Pro(s) - which in my experience were significant! * Salary / Compensation - Branch offers a fantastic (almost unexpected) salary compensation and benefits program. They give a lot of additional benefits over and above your in hand through various internal events and occassions which makes one feel content and satisfied beyond their expectations. * Teams - I worked very closely with the tech team but I got to interact and collaborate with other teams as well. Branch has a flat hierarchy. One can go around and interact with almost anyone about anything. People are very helpful and empathetic first which leads to a great people culture at Branch. Communications are completely transparent and hence there are less-to-no gaps there. The PeopleOps team also organises tons of fun and interesting events to keep people engaged. A majority of this credit goes to PeopleOps team which makes sure that everyone is engaged even in this remote environment. * Growth & opportunities - As an individual who was looking for Growth, I found my sweet spot here at Branch. You get an exposure to international finance market, get to work with some of the greatest minds in the IT industry and solve really interesting problems via even more interesting solutions. Apart from the engineering growth, you get to learn so much about finances, fin-techs and financial businesses in general.

* Emphasis on work culture is incredible, with employee centric policies. * Everything is transparent and any sort of information is available to all employees to keep a flat hierarchy. * Salary package offered are far above industry standards. * Unlimited Leaves * On top of all the above additional benefits are surplus like - extra payouts to employees to help them educate theirselves (buy journals, books, courses) and much more.

I will list out my Pros mainly sticking to the engineering side of things - Great work culture with employee centric policies - People are too nice and I really felt loved and included here - Nice growth opportunities because there are new exciting projects flowing in all the time. - Getting to work with in different markets - Nigeria, India - Smaller engineering team and flat structure ensures visibility. One gets to demo their work to the entire engineering team which includes Ben (CTO) - Some brilliant minds in the team and you get the opportunity to interact with all of them in common engineering team meetings like Design Discussion Snorkel and Engineering Wrap - People OPs team has done a great job to maintain a connect amongst employees across multiple pillars (given that work has been remote for more than a year) - Salary !! Compensation offered is above industry average for similar roles and experience (a software engineer with 3.5+ yrs of experience could expect between 28 ~ 40 LPA) all of it is Base Salary at the time I write this review

Cons

- Although there will be several new projects to work on, not all of them will be there to stay. It is possible that a product/ project doesn't create the projected impact and has to be ice-boxed. At the end of the day, we want to build products that bring most value to our customers :) - There's no physical office space yet for the Engineering team in Bangalore. It's been remote work since the beginning (this could also qualify as a pro :P)

The work environment is really very good, the team is also very supportive. They do value your inputs. They provide opportunities to grow in your career.

The team is present across different time zones. So, they have late evening or early morning meetings to sync. Overall, it is a good place to work.
