Work harder, we won't reward you!
2 Mar 2023 - Field Service TechnicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
After quitting I found better employment at a competitor
Cons
Poor wages Benefits cost more for less actual benefits They took over a money making company and changed everything about it including most of the management. Close to 60% of the workforce quit due to management tirades. Don't know how long it'll take for the fat pig at the trough will realize that motivating people by intimidating them is not good business sense. But I digress, as he's jet setting around the country in his private jet bragging to everyone what he owns. He'll tell you how he's made record profits which means that either the customer is being ripped off or the employees are underpaid. Maybe both. I'm glad I left that place.

Overworked and Underpaid while Dealing with a Toxic Workplace!
16 Feb 2023 - Accounting in Regina, SKRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There's usually someone new you get to say hi to every once in a while due to their high turnover.
Cons
- Very toxic work culture and lots of office politics. - Management very much is old school style, so everything is very manual intensive and nothing gets done since approvals always have to go up and up the chain. They don't like any sort of change or push back, in fact, I'm pretty sure they used Covid as an excuse to get rid of many of those "troublemakers". - Lack of communication and transparency. Management is always reactive and never proactive, thus people are always stressed and drowning in issues and work. People who should be in the know about something usually isn't until they find out for themselves days or weeks later when the actually issue comes up and has to be dealt right away. - After people leave, they get away with not having to hire a replacement by moving that positions work to someone else. A lot of times, a more senior position's work is moved downwards. There is no compensation for this, you're just stuck doing someone else's work that they got paid much more to do before. - Salary used to be quite competitive but it really depended on your negotiation skills. They don't have a pay range for their positions so you could be paid 40% less than someone in the same position but doing the same work, or even more work than they are. - There's barely any team work. It's not encouraged. Everyone is very much heads down, just doing their own thing. There's barely any cross training so there's no one to cover some of your tasks. So you're just expected to get it done before or after any vacation or sick days. - No compensation for putting in OT. It's almost like it's expected since everyone notices but it's never acknowledged, like not even a simple thank you. - There is no work-life balance. Many people are visibly overworked, stressed, and unhappy but rather than helping that person, everyone just keeps to themselves. Sometimes people have nervous breakdowns and rather than helping, people just gossip about it like petty high schoolers.

Pros
John Deere product line is fantastic, and is a big reason for Brandt's success. Collegial atmosphere Great perks and trips
Cons
Culture is command and control, don't disagree (even if you're right) with a senior manager or vice president who has their way of doing things. No discussion of how to work smarter or use tools or technology to get more done. The IT systems are archaic.

poor culture, pay, and no regard for employees
9 Jan 2023 - Territory ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
benefits (that cost a ton off pay cheque) co workers are okay its the culture and pay structure thats terrible
Cons
Customers dislike the company and the management Company lies to customers to push sales which you later are the face of. Pay is poor ($30K salary) 1% of machine commission -- they'll say you'll make $200K i haven't met anyone who does No laptop, CRM or general resources Evaluated on health and safety but company will not buy work boots, gloves, facemasks, anything. Theyll charge you for as much as they can when you leave (chipped desk, worn leather on office chair) disgusting regard for employee personal time. I was written up for missing a golf tournament when family was hospitalized anti compete after you leave RACISIM (I'm white and this is clear through all the sales/customer facing roles)

Pros
The only pro is getting to work alongside brands like John Deere.
Cons
Unless you share the same last name as the CEO or are in his inner circle don't expect to move up at this company. The nepotism is strong here, but I guess that is expected of a family-run business. They are so far behind in technology, compensation and benefits it's shocking since they are a billion dollar company. They refuse to have an adequate payroll system and still email pay stubs and make you track your own vacation time. The benefits are laughable - especially compared to other Alberta-based companies. They love to underpay people as well. Their HR team is practically unreachable, you'll go months without an answer to a simple question unless it's escalated to your manager and even then it's painfully slow. The old-school mentality is tiring. It's always "well this is the way we've always done things" and very few people at this company want to change that. Overall, I do not recommend unless you want to go back in time to old-school practices.

VERY CLIQUISH (Normal USA)
2 Dec 2022 - Production Assembler in Normal, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They offer long hour workdays.
Cons
Bring your own tools as the leads won't allow you to use the company tools collectively. You will not look good here because your hard work is continually thrown under the bus with a "run to the sup" policy by the click. The coworkers will lie about you and throw you under the bus. You're excluded if you're not a lead or lead wanna be. Yes the leads are lazy and gossipy. They stand around in groups playing pocket pool while the non leads are doing all the work. They have a texting cliq. If your coworker next to you is mad about something on a machine they will text the leads or supervisors' complaints about you.. Two faced individuals. I would surmise they like to hire alcoholics. They preach safety which is complete bs. When I interviewed there was a person at the reception with crutches. After I was hired, I learned that there was about 10 people out with injury. Anything from a foot ran over to knee injury and pulled backs to finger lost. I wonder what OSHA would think.

Pros
-None, there are NO pros to working for Brandt...none! Just RUN!!! -The only PRO was leaving....if I could give them 0 stars, I would!
Cons
-Terrible management from top down, extremely top heavy company with managers and VPs changing and being added weekly. -“Thanks a Billion” was a total slap in the face. -Extremely low base pay made to keep you "hungry" but instead just makes you feel worthless and unmotivated. -No indication of any raises, when asked it is shot down very fast with a lie that its not in the budget. -Benefits are absolutely embarrassing. -You're fed lies right from day 1, do not believe what they say! -“Sales Manager: came with the attitude of "get the sale at any costs, worry about the rest later" which is not a way to operate. He was very inexperienced. He should have not been in the position he was in. -Was told to run my job like my own business and they would cover the expenses, another lie, you're micromanaged and pushed daily to close deals and to do menial "assignments" for corporate monkeys which serve you no benefit. -Constantly having to ask prices on what I was selling, because depending on the customer, the price changed as to how bad the "Sales Manager" wanted to screw them over. -Commission takes months to be paid out because of poor supply, Brandt does not carry enough inventory for sales. -NO work life balance, you eat-sleep-breath Brandt. -Toxic, Cult like atmosphere, you’re nothing but a number that sells.

Pros
Lots of good co workers. Interesting projects in my division.
Cons
Management has not settled into a concrete system that is consistent.
- Former Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
Co workers were great. They have nice buildings
Cons
Lack of training and guidance, everyone is to busy to pass on knowledge. Probable best that they try to retain staff when they buy out a company.
