I have been working at BrightStar Care full-time for more than a year

    Pros

BrightStar Care is without a doubt first class in terms of the person centered care we provide to clients, but I've also never worked at a company that cares more about the employee experience.

    Cons

If you aren't ready to work hard and put the clients' needs first, this isn't the place for you.

    Advice to Management

The Franchise Support Team does a wonderful job of inspiring and encouraging us in our work.

I have been working at BrightStar Care full-time

    Pros

Lot's of variety in clients, and a great team. They also provide benefits to all full time employees

    Cons

Hours can fluctuate, but they work hard to get you on new cases. The office is busy so you need to get to know your scheduler.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at BrightStar Care full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Salary was OK. Health Insurance and PTO were part of the package. It is a franchise system so each location is owned by an independent licensee. Home health is a growing industry with the aging of the population so job should be secure into the future.

    Cons

There is never enough time in the day to complete every task. The industry is highly regulated and subject to audits. Expect 70+ hours per week. Changes in health care will squeeze margins and increase risk. Life balance is the reason I left.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at BrightStar Care full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

People I worked with shared common interest in truly helping others. The team at our office was hard working and dedicated.

    Cons

Difficult to deal with people's schedule changes. Unrealistic expectations regarding how quickly services could be provided. On call responsibilities were incredibly stressful.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about how difficult it is run this business don't sugar coat it to sell more franchises. Don't forget you are dealing with people's lives. Customers and employees need equal understanding and support.
