We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and honest feedback! Although, we are disappointed to hear that it was a negative one. Culture is everything here at Brooksource, which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where all our employees feel empowered to be the best. We say “strive” because as you have mentioned, our work is far from finished. Cultural changes take time, but we believe we are taking the right steps. This includes the creation of our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We have also expanded our benefits to include mental wellness coverage, additional PTO, and parental leave for all employees, as well as tuition assistance for those who qualify. These are just some of our latest enhancements! As we continue to grow, so will the type of support and assistance we provide to our employees, consultants, and clients. Thank you again for your feedback, as it is reviews like this one that help us better align our plans for the future with the needs of our employees!

Pros
Helped me with my interview, gave me work tips
Cons
They are dishonest, unethical, and stingy. Please don’t work here. They don’t have any PTO or sick leave until 1 year, will not pay you a fair wage, will promise people raises then not give them, and will threaten you. Brooksource workers claim they get the same benefits as you to try and sympathize with you but it’s a lie. They get more benefits, perks, trips, etc.

Some of the people are awesome! Allows for flexibility within your work day. Great training
Cons
Beware of people in leadership positions taking advantage of younger hires. You have to love every aspect of the job or people don't think you want to work there. You have to fit into the culture otherwise they will try to get you to leave. comp compared to other companies is not great.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. All leadership positions are hired from within which means that our leadership has personal experience in the positions that they oversee. Usually, this opens the door for thoughtful leadership and mentoring, but the scenario you have described does NOT align with the culture we want to create. We are deeply disappointed to hear that you had such a negative experience at Brooksource. Would you be willing to contact us at success@eightelevengroup.com so that we can learn more, as we are always striving to better ourselves?

Brooksource Response
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, but we are disappointed to hear that it was a negative one. This includes the creation of our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We also have quarterly DEI Workshops led by our Director of Diversity & Alumni Engagement, to educate our employees about the different organizations and initiatives we are working with to further our development in the areas of DEI. As of 2020, we are proud to announce that our consultants have a diversity of 52.6% along gender lines and 52.7% racial diversity. One’s work is never done when it comes to DEI but to say we have a culture that does not welcome all, regardless of background, would not be accurate.
