To be honest, it is the huge opportunity for me to worked in BSNL since last 14 years.In between I have learned many things in telecom domain from Ericsson/Nortel/ZTE/Mobile Project Installation/O&M/RF/ Transmission/ External Plant Maintenance/CMTS Planning etc. Now I am attached with Value Added Services as a Nodal Officer for Entire Eastern Region for facilitating more than 40 VASPs with regulatory compliance's and redressing subscribers grievances.

Cons

The main reason behind for lagging of BSNL is due to its policy paralysis and lack of HR Policies which have affected the revenue and growth of the company and to the employees as well.

No HR Policies , Untrained & Outdated Excess Staff , Shortage of Skilled & trained Staff , No Fixed Job responsibilites on Lower Staff , No Motivational Factor . Management Works like 50yr old department

hr policies are not very good .. average age of employees is around 50 years ..so there is a lack of ambitions in employees .. since its a state owned psu .. so decision /order don't come in a fast manner .. rather very slow decision making because of the current hierarchy system in bsnl ..

Being a PSU BSNL offers Job security and some central govt rules like Leave rules etc are available.

Very bad HR policies. All employees of a cadre whether Hard working or Not at all working have the same growth chances.
