Pros
• Onboarding process is well defined and clear, communication channels are open • Great people to work with. People in different departments are welcoming • They are concerned about your career and what you pursue, if you are interested in a certain field/technology, they encourage you to pursue it • Paid training for certifications • Employees are informed and involved on how the company is doing. You are not left behind • Open PTO and work from home. They do not micromanage. I have met some of the most awesome people. Hearing from their stories, some were from big fortune 500 companies. If you are in a different department and are interested and open to switching to a different role/department, they are supportive and encourage you to do so.
Cons
• Once you get work, you’ll have to manage time properly to meet deadlines • Be a self-learner. If you are new to tech and making a career change, don’t expect handholding to do your role
Happiness of our employees and providing opportunities of growth is important to us as an organization. Thank you so much for your feedback.

Experienced and continually evolving organization
4 Jan 2023 - Consulting Executive in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
+ Deep experience in an array of technology and consulting services, with extensive customer relationships across multiple industries, leading to a variety of work + Genuinely excited to help customers and consultants grow + Good size - not too large, not too small allowing for agility, career growth, but not feeling like a number + Project size from small to large/strategic + Management open to and encourages feedback, and acts upon it; not afraid to change + Genuine excitement around innovation into new technologies, capabilities, and ways of doing things internally and with customers
Cons
- Heavy reliance on KPIs, but it is changing - Change happens in efforts to continuously improve, which might be challenging for some

Pros
Burwood is awesome. I love the culture and flexibility to work from home or come in to the office if I want. Every one of my superiors has been patient and encouraging as I learn the ropes.
Cons
Some money to help pay for a WFH setup would have been nice. That’s my only con.

Great people with a good culture
9 Jan 2023 - Senior Accountant in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Jim(president) and Mark(CEO) both treat people with respect and equally no matter the role you have. It’s a fun environment to work and in a great downtown office
Cons
Since leaving I have seen a lot of people I loved working with also leaving or being let go. I hope that doesn’t change Burwood.

Pay attention to all of the non-5-star reviews! I wish I had...
12 Sept 2022 - Consultant in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Signing bonus, decent comp, monthly/quarterly bonuses
Cons
Everything else. Financials are a mess, people are jumping ship or being laid off, even commissions aren't being paid on time. Practice managers are rude, and will throw you under the bus in front of clients. Relations with Project Managers are terrible - they'd rather argue and fight with their consultants instead of having a synergistic relationship. They preach career and training advancement, but juggle you from certification track to certification track (likely based on current client needs) before you even have a chance to get 10% through any one of them, alienating each one along the way, ultimately wasting your time and you almost never complete them. So you have nothing to show for it, and can't hit your promised bonus structure for getting those certs.

14 Dec 2022 - Ops Manager in RemoteRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Group has a long stand goal of making staff feel like family, Strong leadership team with right minded individuals helping to grow the company
Cons
The CEO has lost touch with his staff. He can be distracted with tactical projects. The positive is the President and his leadership team is strong and tends to carry the water for the firm.

Pros
The people here are amazing and the leadership members I have encountered are supportive and treat you with respect. As a diverse female, I feel valued by all team members. Including, empowerment to make decisions that lead into immediate contributions and impact for the greater good. This is a place that is growing rapidly and structure is being put in place to support continued growth. If you are looking for a place to bunch a clock, this is not it. However, there is a good balance between personal life and delivering on work.
Cons
Yes, there was a mini lay-off. Not to minimize it, the impacted were senior and executive leaders.
