    I have been working at CSM Bakery Solutions full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Great company with a ton of potential. They have a good market segment, solid growth, and have overcome huge obstacles to stay relevant in a challenging marketplace. Great employees who really do want the company to succeed.

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations by middle to senior management. They choose to manage the KPIs instead of actually learning how the business works and then managing the business. Try using the KPIs as intended (they are indicators, not gospel!). Communication across the entire organization is atrocious! Don't be surprised when neither hand knows what the other is doing, and learn to expect the corporate silo mentality at every turn. Mundane decisions are shuffled around until they reach ridiculously high levels because people are more concerned with protecting their jobs than just doing what needs to be done. Too much effort spent on cultivating fear instead of trust. They make money in spite of their work, not because of it.

    Pros

    People and the Products used to be the best things at CSM. Sadly most of the good people have left, and the products are no longer "best in class".

    Cons

    Senior Management is completely oblivious, head in the sand. Same with HR. No work/life balance.

    I have been working at CSM Bakery Solutions full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Large global company. Company has diverse high quality products. The employees working in the production facilities are knowledgeable, hard working and bring a lot of bakery experience.

    Cons

    The company has changed management to a private equity company, Rhone Capital. They cleared all of the former senior management team out and brought in all new team members who do not understand the company, the bakery industry or how to lead a company. They are not holding people accountable. Communication is worst at best.

    I worked at CSM Bakery Solutions full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Size of business. Fairly strong name in the industry (but diminishing quickly). A number of really good people who are knowledgable, caring, professional, responsible.

    Cons

    The absolute worst corporate culture anywhere. All new super-senior management with little or no background in the baking industry... yet they believe they're the ultimate experts. Largest customers many times tell their CSM sales contacts "don't bring that guy/gal (Sr mgmt) around here anymore"... and they mean it! C-suite is ripe with do-nothing smooth-talkers who carry an elitist attitude, which nauseates the entire work-force (except those with their nose up someone's rear end).

    Pros

    Lower level employees take pride in there work and are dedicated.

    Cons

    Senior management team only cares about themselves and how much money they can make. They are Inconsistent in treatment of staff, good ole boy network and very dishonest. Only the two female SMT members are knowledgeable. Inappropriate relationships with SMT males and female employees are overlooked and ignored. Flat organization. No room growth. Poor pay.
