I worked at Canadian Natural Resources full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Treats employees with respect. Has lots of good resources for growth and development in the industry. Recognises talent.

    Cons

Due to it's size, departments tends to operate in silos. The tendency for communication between departments on the ground level to be nil to little reduces the opportunity to develop as an employee and reduces the benefits of the team approach to the company.

    Advice to Management

Although there are many employees to manage, allowing some room for employees to take initiative would engage the employees more and provide a more creative and effective business environment.

I have been working at Canadian Natural Resources full-time

    Pros

CDN company located in Calgary...lots of opportunity. Stable company that doesn't lay people off

    Cons

LTD deductions are massive!!! Watch out for this. Silo'd org, change resistant, 15 years behind the times at least for leadership/org approach, top down driven, no real goal setting, poor communication, cheap...

    Advice to Management

Offer early retirement or lay off people...there is excess capacity.
