I have been working at Canon Solutions America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Job security, work-life balance and cultural diversity.

    Cons

The amount of work is not balanced between coworkers and the pay in most positions are not competitive.

    Advice to Management

Remove barriers that allow for positions to be flat. The job descriptions need to be more clear for each department and each expectation for the roles under specific managers. The best employees produce the best work and have the most work. Once they believe they are not being fairly compensated for their efforts, or are not afforded any kind of legitimate promotion, they will leave.

I worked at Canon Solutions America full-time

    Pros

    Canon is an excellent company.

    Cons

There is too many levels of management. They do NOT talk to one another and when they do, they are sometimes less than honest. They do not protect their employees, they are only interested in covering their own behinds.

    Advice to Management

Talk to one another. And when you are wrong, acknowledge it.

I worked at Canon Solutions America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits
    Put in your own time
Laid back at the beginning of the month

    Cons

End of the month is horrible
Management have a "must complete at all cost" despite safety reasons
Yearly raises are not even noticeable and aren't negotiable.
You will work Saturdays if there is enough work at the end of the month
At the end of the month, you will be working up 8 PM or longer despite the heavy lifting
Forklifts are way out-dated and fail to meet OSHA safety guidelines but isn't being addressed to manager because it still "runs"

    Advice to Management

Treat warehouse employees better and reward hard work with PROPER raises instead of short changing everything so you can have a bigger year end bonus. Actually have a manager does knows the ins and outs of the warehouse procedure instead of just passing on all the work and claiming the job well-done to yourself.

I worked at Canon Solutions America full-time

    Pros

I made some lifetime friends there and for that I am grateful. Other than that I have very few positive thoughts about the company.

    Cons

Most of management has no idea what it's like to work at these sites and the ones that do turn a blind eye. They will allow you to take on more duties to increase the contract value and/or extend it, but are not really interested in paying you a fair wage in return for your efforts.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing ridiculous amounts of training that benefits a small percentage of the staff and actually work to make their lives better. Do this and maybe more people would stay!
