I have been working at Cedar Point Amusement Park part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Autonomous. I get to directly interact with guests and offer them an experience they cannot get elsewhere.

    Cons

Sometimes it is just slow on the boardwalk, but that gives us opportunities to improve on what how we do it.

    Advice to Management

Screen applicants to find more mature, reliable, dependable cruisers guides.

I have been working at Cedar Point Amusement Park part-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Incentives are really nice such as park tickets! Your ID gets you into any Cedar Fair park and some non-Cedar Fair. During HAUNT, you get weekly incentives such as hats, gloves, hoodies, t-shirts, gift cards, and enter into raffles to win big cash. They do so many events over the summer like bus trips and ride nights for associates only. You get to meet SO many people from all over the world. Really good place to... start a career in this industry.

    Cons

Low pay and housing is not the best but it is do-able. Other than that CP is a great place to work!

    Advice to Management

Give better perks to part-time associates.

I have been working at Cedar Point Amusement Park full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The paychecks will blow your mind if you've only ever worked for minimum wage. They provide housing, albeit not great housing, and it's inexpensive. You have a lot of room for promotions and it's not very hard to move up.

    Cons

They work you at least 40 hours a week. The job is very physically draining and you'll often find yourself almost too tired to even remember any of the safety material you are supposed to learn to keep everyone safe. The last thing you want to do if you're a company employing a safety worker would be to keep them so exhausted that they literally can't do their jobs right, but that's exactly what CP does.

I have been working at Cedar Point Amusement Park part-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you get a good crew, the days will be fun and you get lots of hours.

    Cons

The amount of hours per week can sometimes get excessive (up to 80 per week). The employee housing is overpriced and honestly disgusting. Staffing is also a big concern.

    Advice to Management

Make housing cheaper and make better incentives to associates to improve staffing.
