I worked at Charterhouse Partnership full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Only two pros to working for this business - Amazing office views - A lot of other recruiters which can be a lot of fun

    Cons

WHERE TO BEGIN - Some of the Glassdoor reviews are actively written by current management to help them attract new recruiters - No HR function, read some of the reviews below to understand why this is an issue - Awful comms structure + issues with receiving full payment of monies owed - this company literally tries to screw you over at every turn - No onboarding process for new employees, literally given a sheet with your logins and told to get on with it - they don't even have a manual on the CRM - High turnover of staff - Negative environment, definitely a political business with plenty of staff members both senior and junior stabbed in the back - Mistreatment of staff on visas - overseas recruiters can definitely find much better businesses to join

    I worked at Charterhouse Partnership

    Pros

Had some great people. The balcony has fantastic views. That's it.

    Cons

I'll bullet point this, it's easier; - Management write reviews on here pretending to be consultants, it's sad. - The new 'fantastic' IT systems were poorly integrated and a whole bunch of data was lost. - No HR in a company of over 100 people, inexcusable - Terrible commission structure - Unompetitive commission structure - They will lag at visa processes to force you to stay - No marketing - Ridiculous turnover - Cockroach infestation - The old MD treated the place like his own play toy, then got the boot. But not before.... - Most of the other directors left anyway, so there isn't any leadership. - Sexual harassment - Can't attract any local experienced staff

    Pros

Great Cold Coins incentives. Work colleagues are supportive when they can be.

    Cons

NO HR so no one to talk to if you are not wanting to communicate with your manager. Terrible Finance team. Constantly having to check figures to ensure money hasnt been taken off commission. If admin support makes errors with flight bookings etc you are not told and it just comes off your commission. Terrible commission structure on top of that. MD is a NO man. Give great ideas to help market the company and it falls on death ears. NO marketing department High staff turnover Hire inexperienced staff as quick fixes and mainly from the UK who dont know the market. Colleagues already having dates in mind of resigning. The list really does goes on.

I have been working at Charterhouse Partnership full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Balcony has great view of Opera House & Harbour Bridge - Did have good social environment but people are leaving daily at the moment

    Cons

    - No management - Literally - no GM for Partnership - No training. - Visa tricks on expats. - Very confusing com structure (basically you get none or what you think you are getting you can halve or 1/4 that number). - 75% of the consultants are either talking about leaving or have resignation dates planned - No HR ; previous sexual harrassment gone unpunished I have worked for Charterhouse for over a 2 years (I wont say how many as it would give my identity away) and 2015 - 2016 have been diabolical; I have seen 30+ resignations including senior Management in both Medical and Partnership groups in Sydney its basically a revolving door which I guess is great for our competitors - this is turnover in numbers I have never seen before and I have been in recruitment for over 10 years. I currently dont even know who I report to as the same with a number of staff and consultants. Its trult the only company I get anxiety to waking up and having to come to Do not join this company - another 10+ consultants will be gone throughout Dec n Jan 2017.

I have been working at Charterhouse Partnership full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A great social environment. Fantastic rewards scheme for top performers such as spending an afternoon in a restaurant / bar with the MD or sailing around the harbour, that said this does not make up for the poor bonus schemes.

    Cons

Where to start. No support or development for staff. No HR representatives. No infrastructure. The tools are not provided to you to help you do your job. If you are new to recruitment then they do not know how to develop you so you will end up moving on to a competitor that does. If you have the necessary skills but lack direction then they will not know how to develop you so you are better off moving to a competitor that will get the best out of you. For the very few top shelf recruiters out there that are successful regardless of what is going off around them then this place will be suitable for 1-2 years. At this point you will realise that you could take your skills to a competitor with a better bonus scheme to be rewarded for your efforts. Recruitment has a high staff turnover anyway but Charterhouse is well below the industry average, Charterhouse is a revolving door!

    I worked at Charterhouse Partnership

    Pros

Great views and location. The building has underground parking which comes in useful from time to time and the lifts have mirrors!

    Cons

Had to make a review to counteract to last few 'positive' posts which came about by the MD walking around the office demanding people write positive reviews. If you want a career in recruitment then stay away from here. You will not be respected or appreciated. They bully their staff and would start gossip about you. Nothing is kept private, if you have a personal issue and you confide in your manager it's a guarantee it'll be around the office by close of business. As previously stated in numerous reviews there is no HR. So your pretty much have no support. Once an employee gets PR they leave within a month. That should tell you everything you need to know

I have been working at Charterhouse Partnership

    Pros

Great Sydney harbor views. Incentives trips are pretty decent. General staffing population are a good bunch.

    Cons

The MD - he wrote the review titled "best place I ever worked" which tells you a lot. No HR - unacceptable for a company this size. IT systems are 10 years old and crash daily. No onboarding process or training - think the hunger games but recruitment. Took a cockroach infestation for them to refurb the office. Which is a lick of paint and a new carpet. The promote a "no KPI culture" where in fact you will be micro managed unless you are billing big $$$ If you are thinking of joining on a 457 visa with a view to PR, don't. The MD recently pulled someones visa nomination in order to force someone to stay another 12 months. Quite frankly shocking and disgusting behaviour.

    Pros

    - Friday drinks - Balcony view of Circular Quay - Birthday cake and pies provided - Showers available

    Cons

    - Don't let the 4.3 star overall score fool you (as of Mar '16). This factors for all offices worldwide, and they might be doing things well in Dubai, but it is a different matter in the Sydney office. Just reset the filters to Australia only and you will see the real story for here - 1.3 stars. - Systems are antiquated and having to fall back on manual processes undermines everyones productivity. - Claims that all consultants are experienced, when they are struggling to actually get people to start in roles so taking on complete juniors then neglecting to train them well. - Dingy office even after being (slightly) refurbished. Even though there is a nice view, you will rarely get to look at it. - No HR - no ways for human or people issues to be dealt with in any effective way. - They are bleeding people as patience runs out with management and their ways.

    Pros

CBD location, Harbour and Opera House Views, Great terrace, free drinks on a friday. Management appears helpful in the first couple of weeks.

    Cons

Micro management is in the DNA Seniors have nothing better to do except threatening and pushing consultants. No training - practically They are not even number oriented they want to pick on small things Panicking senior people who will not make you good consultants but will make you KPI machines Management shows no mature behavior There is no HR All in all you wouldn't want to get up on a Monday morning and go to work.
