I have been working at Chimaera Labs as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

They throw you in head first to both client work and marketing and company development work. There is a strong support network of professional and highly experienced supervisors who always point you in the right direction and can help identify the answers to complex issues.

    Cons

No hand holding, very much a sink or swim environment. If your personality doesn't mesh well with the team's, things could get difficult.

    Advice to Management

Continue supporting and developing the company culture.

I have been working at Chimaera Labs full-time

    Pros

    - Many opportunities for learning and career/personal growth
    - Full time team members and the CEO are knowledgable, approachable, and great mentors
    - Clients projects are differentiated and interesting. You learn new capabilities on every project you work on
    - Many opportunities to make an impact in your role. The CEO is always pushing employees to take on new initiatives within the company.
    - Great working environment and company culture. The team is very supportive while encouraging everyone to go above and beyond on the quality of their work

    Cons

    - Since it is a small agency some of the job roles are a flexible and not as defined as they could be
    - If you are a person who can't handle a fast paced environment or has trouble wearing many "hats" you may become frustrated

    Advice to Management

Try to narrow the focus of job roles and responsibilities

I worked at Chimaera Labs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get as much responsibility as you can handle, and then some. A pretty flat organization means that you have influence from Day 1. The work environment has a good amount of flexibility and working remotely occasionally is not out of the equation. Great perks at the work place, and you learn constantly.

    Cons

It's a start-up environment and those can always be volatile. You'll also be pushed pretty hard to develop your skills and expertise, and for some people that can be tough.
