Pros
- They really make you believe you're doing something worthwhile (excellent gaslighting). - There is not much hard work that needs to be accomplished. - So many great proclamations from leadership! - Lots of time to Pinterest! - Great if you like chaos!
Cons
During my time at Chute Gerdeman, not two consecutive weeks passed without a company-wide email announcing a fellow employee had resigned, been laid off, or had been terminated. This constant barrage of instability, paired with the complete lack of executive vision (and the competency and discipline required to make that vision a reality) meant that day-to-day life at this workplace was overall meaningless. Additionally, the top-heavy structure and vanity job titles created a toxic culture and a desperate rush to take credit for others’ achievements. Be careful.
