Unbelievably shocking work culture with no learning and development in FP&A
3 Nov 2021 - FP&A Analyst in MumbaiRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
1. Salary (at par with other FinOps role providers in the industry) 2. Club Mahindra holiday package of 3N/4D every year 3. Swanky offices
Cons
1. Manager won't care about your learning and development. You just have to get your job done 2. Everyone is overworked due to strict hiring policies and complete manual work with little to no technological intervention. Most of the time is spent on manual work on excel whereas analysis is done by senior people only 3. No fringe benefits at all 4. No work life balance 5. No regards for accountability. Every communication is either done on skype or whatsapp or personal call. Communicating on email is considered waste of time 6. Strict notice period policy with no negotiation considered for reducing it 7. There are checks and balances (on paper) regarding some cons mentioned but no one cares about them due to point 5.

Pros
Workaholics get timely and good promotions. And below average performers can easily survive coz they don't fire people on basis of performance. Plenty of holidays and good parental leave policy.
Cons
HR team is incompetent. No work life balance. Seniors don't respect juniors/subordinate. Management abuses their leads all the time. Ratings are not fair and justified. Promotions are predecided and on that basis you get tasks so you get to showcase your work and rest of the team is ignored. Politics wins over hard work. Not many perks. Lot of restrictions. Poor tech progress, very slow to adapt.
