I worked at Citrix full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very comfortable place to work - decent work, good work life balance, amazing people. Of course, all this is dependent on the team you're in but most teams i've interacted with are very nice. Great perks in Bangalore office and good pay as well.

    Cons

Upper management seems to be confused about direction of company sometimes.

I have been working at Citrix full-time

    Pros

good work culture. good perks. facilities like cab pick-up. above average pay. you can spend years here. workplace is supportive. located in a central location in bangalore, very close to M G road.

    Cons

you may have to attend a number of late night conference calls if you are working in a team or project that has colleagues from US. A lot fo flux in upper management and executives. Company has some investor activism thing going on.

I worked at Citrix full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Past: Technology, Work life balance, Best salary, Good people, lots of perks, free food, transportation, occasional team outings etc.. Present: Activist share holders jumped in and its no longer a place it used to be

    Cons

Repeated org. restructuring, dirty politics and biased nature of people managers. There are some really unworthy people in worthy positions. If you are technically skillful and tough person who refuse to be a boot liker, then this place is not for you. Lot of good/super talented people who used to be there, just vanished. Now its a complete new management. Ex-colleagues who still work there, just want to get out of there, but cant find a better fit outside, coz they have been so used to playing politics, licking boots and sucking up to the boss that they never acquired any latest skills. Being dumb, with rusted skill sets and a high salary is a recipe for disaster. But ironically these are the guys who are still surviving there. Anyone who challenged the beliefs and tried to make a dent in the rotting work process has been laid off. I have seen so many skillful people leave the company, just because they didn't obey their bosses or better put tried to implement the best they can with out listening to the b.s their bosses put in front of them. Bottom line: If you are talented in whatever you do and if you wanna work for a branded company with a good salary and perks, Go ahead, this is for you. (Provided, if you know how to please your boss, bring presents to him/her on birthdays (decorate his/her cubicle), play with his/her kids on bring your kids to work day, take a corner meeting room and gossip about your team mates, unnecessarily send mails which nobody cares about 4 AM in the morning, during the year end (appraisal time) do everything possible on earth, ranging from acting super maniac for no reason, trying to stay late in office, simply pinging your boss at midnight asking for his advice on how shall you frame a mail to notify the sprint milestones to the team, helping him/her on jotting down the cooked up data to present to the upper management showcasing how awesome your work is, helping him/her prepare all his/her presentations for which you get no credits, and most importantly if you are the king of staying calm when he/she shouts at you (literally) just because...because god knows why !), go ahead this is the best place for YOU and you will be glad you will still see the people like you around)

I have been working at Citrix full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The base salary is very competitive but subsequent hikes are way below industry average. Work from home option is available but requires manager's permission

    Cons

    - you would be forced to generate numbers even if that equals to lying. Not sure if the upper management if aware of this but the middle-management is actively involved in making the employees lie about numbers like test case, code coverage, etc. This creates a suffocating environment. - hikes percentages are very poor. - The testing teams should focus on the growth of the employees too. The work is mundane and boring. A warning for fresh hires. - The free cab facility is not a 'facility' anymore. This is just to bump up the CTC

I worked at Citrix full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It is a great technology company. They are having really cool stuff which enterprises love. Also they regularly do acquisitions and expand to be at pace with market. I got to work with really some good brains as my mentors and colleagues.

    Cons

I would say yearly reorganization at upper management level and hence change in direction sometimes could be a matter of concern. As by the time you get use to new organization then a new announcement of reorganization will follow. Another matter of concern when I left company was loosing talent to market. These were really good people and I saw no effort on citrix's part to retain them.
