    Few from top management lacks people management skills and judging subordinates capability which allow some people to go upward despite they don't deserve it which demotivates the entire team.

    equipment, space. Can't say much else that's positive

    Cons

    Bad culture, bad supervision, bad structure, bad support. I don't know a single ECR (postdoc / PhD) who enjoyed their time at CSIRO. No cohesive program, no skill transfer. Very isolated work culture.

    Pros

    Great culture, flexible working and you meet and work with a lot of smart people. It's a really rewarding job! Superannuation is 15.4%.

    Cons

    A lot of uncertainty being a government organisation and budget cuts. Most contracts are three-years.

    Great benefits - extra super, good facilities

    Cons

    Management is a bit of an exclusive club - predominantly white. Women are hired and promoted for gender balance - regardless of skill.
