      Pros

started in XIN (Indianapolis) (great place to work at) transferred to XAU aurora il and XLA lasalle il. the longer the run the more money. if lower in seniority may not get the longer better paying runs. lower in seniority also means you get the last loads out. if you stick it out long enough you will move up depending on the drivers ahead of you. The pay is decent.

      Cons

Loads are not always ready when they call you in for a start time. you had to call in every night for a lineup and sometimes you get called in at 9 and wont get you loads until 10 or 11 at night making you sit there for 1-3 hours. long hours, the hours varied on runs, loads, break downs of other drivers. longer runs with lower seniority often left new drivers pushing the limit of the 14 or 16 hour rule. loaded your own trailer making it a long stressful night when long freight came down the dock and you are on your last trailer and its 3/4 full

      Good company to work for

      Pros

The pay is okay. The local management tries hard to make you feel like a family. You are rewarded for making goals.

      Cons

The bidding process is a joke. If you have low seniority you may work long hours for a month and for the next month you may hardly work. They also have a bidding process for the office which causes job duties to be assigned by start time. This causes problems because people are performing duties that they are not really qualified for and causing others to work twice as hard to fix their mistakes.

      Not for weak

      Pros

Fair Pay. Plenty of work. Good Benefits. Stable company. Industry leader. Staying "under the radar" and proving yourself dependable and hard working are the keys to survival. Rocking the boat, is not a good plan.

      Cons

Long hours. Long hours. Long hours. Runs are short, long hours on the dock in extreme weather. At least we get 10 hours off. Everything is based on seniority, not performance. Terminal Manager not concerned with late hours we are held at other terminals being used as dockworkers.

      Great pay, poor culture

      Pros

Pay is good Job security is pretty good Military friendly Great benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401k. Focus on safety in the work place.

      Cons

Long hours Poor shifts This company has little to no reward for the hard work you put in. And by reward, I mean the attitude towards employees. Management is not encouraging…they do not provide a team atmosphere like they make you think. Instead they create a consequence environment where it's about how bad you did, not how good you did some things and could improve on others. Ability to advance is limited for drivers and management. If you're management, you must be willing to relocate. I was also lied to when I was hired about the shifts I'd work and the pay raises I'd receive

      Pros

From what I can tell they train you with everything you need to know and treat you like family.

      Cons

Long hours and overtime, but the money you bring in is better than most companies out there if you are just starting out.
